In recent years, the Jiuzhishan National Forest Park Administration of Ningyuan County has set up three patrol teams, including a motorcycle patrol team, a drone patrol team, and a walking patrol team, to carry out ecological patrols in the Xiaodongjiang River Basin, a cluster of migratory birds. It is understood that there are 143 species of birds in the Jiuzhishan National Nature Reserve in Ningyuan County. Among them, infrared cameras have photographed two species of national first-class protected birds, the yellow-bellied horned pheasant and the white-necked long-tailed pheasant, and eight species of national second-class protected birds, such as the white pheasant and the red-bellied golden pheasant.
