In order to stimulate students' interest in science, improve their scientific quality, and promote the spirit of scientists, on April 26, Sichuan Province's "Hundreds of Scientists Entering the Campus" activity entered Qingshen County Experimental Primary School. Professor Liang Zheng of Southwest Petroleum University brought a wonderful scientific feast to the students with his extensive knowledge and vivid narration.
Zheng Liang, professor and doctoral supervisor of Southwest Petroleum University, main research directions: mechanical problems in petroleum engineering, oil and gas equipment design theory and energy-saving and consumption-reducing technology, natural gas recovery and transportation technology and equipment research, offshore oil and gas equipment and test equipment research, oil and gas pipelines and related facilities mechanics and testing technology. He has published 5 monographs, published more than 200 academic papers, authorized more than 50 invention patents, and won 11 national, provincial and ministerial teaching science and technology achievement awards. He has presided over more than 10 national projects such as the National 863 Project and more than 100 oil and gas field cooperation projects.
Professor Liang first talked about his childhood experience, narrowed the distance between him and the students, and started a special lecture entitled "Introduction to Oil and Gas Equipment" in a relaxed and happy atmosphere. Based on his own experience, Professor Liang vividly interpreted the connotation of the spirit of scientists, and used real pictures and detailed data to deeply analyze the important position of oil and gas resources in global economic and social development. At the same time, he also introduced in detail the current situation of oil and gas resources in the mainland, as well as the relevant knowledge of oil and gas production, transportation and equipment.
Professor Liang sent a message to the students that they should exercise their thinking and lay a good foundation, petroleum engineering is a multidisciplinary comprehensive problem, and they should not deviate from the subject in their studies, but should try to enrich their minds. The country's industrial development from a poor and white to the forefront of the world, is the history of many scientists' efforts to create, I hope that the students will work hard, forge ahead, the development of new energy will always need a large number of knowledgeable young people to fight for.
