I feel that this ancient livelihood is incompatible with the development of modern cities, and I can only survive in the cracks. In previous years, at night, you could see this kind of popcorn on the street corner from time to time, and the bright stove was particularly conspicuous at night. Of all the popcorn stands I've seen, the most special thing is the long, large pocket, which is almost always sewn from a variety of cloth, no matter where it is.
When I was a child, every time I came across this popcorn stall, I liked to buy a bag to eat, in fact, my favorite thing was not only the joy of eating, but also the whole process of enjoying the crash. The uncle flexibly turned the small boiler, and from time to time he had to look at the pressure gauge above, and there was always restless Mars in the furnace. Generally, a group of children will gather in front of this kind of stall, and everyone is especially excited to wait for the final moment of the pot. When it was really about to come out of the pot, everyone became nervous, because there would be a loud noise when the pot was started. The loud noise is followed by a burst of white smoke accompanied by a fragrant sweetness, and then the uncle will skillfully use a sieve to sift out the excess bran.
The happiest thing for children is not to eat the sifted popcorn, but to pick the scattered popcorn on the ground. In a pile of bran, everyone excitedly looked for the fish caught in the net, if they found a relatively complete pile, they had to be faster than anyone, and this chaotic scene was a unique memory of childhood.
It's a pity that such popcorn is almost impossible to see now, maybe in the near future, this craft will become a kind of absolute learning only exists in the hearts of this generation, and then children in the future don't talk about eating, maybe they haven't even seen it.
