Since 2009, Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown, Scotland, has held a three-day Distillery Open House every May. "This is a charity tasting and we have the privilege of showcasing an amazing range of whiskies, including Genting whisky distilled in the 60s and 70s with a generous donation from Peter Geve of Bremen, Germany, as well as a bottle of rare Genting Whisky," Genting said. All proceeds from this event will be donated to charitable causes in the Campbelltown area through our J&A Mitchell and Co Ltd Community Fund. 2. Genting official bottling, private bottling single cask whisky, distilled on October 11, 1968, matured in Oloroso Sherry Butt cask with cask number 1412, bottled in 2006, 37 years old, alcohol content 50.1% ABV, capacity 700ml, bottle number 12, bottle No. 3 was tasted in this tasting;
3. Genting official bottling, private bottling single cask whisky, distilled in 1969, matured in 400 barrel Bourbon Cask, bottled in 2006, 37 years old, 46.6% ABV, 700ml capacity, 12 bottles, this tasting will be bottled in bottle 3;
4. Genting official bottling single cask whisky, distilled on 05 February 1974, matured in oak casks with cask number 152 (cask type unknown), bottled on 28 October 1999, aged 25 years, 46.3% ABV, 700ml capacity, 280 bottles, bottled No. 2 bottles in this tasting;
5. Genting Official Bottled Single Malt Whisky, bottled in 2000, 21 years old, 46% ABV, 700ml capacity;
6. Genting Official Bottling Longrow (Double Distillation, Peaty Flavour) Single Malt Whisky, distilled in 1974-09, bottled in 1996-06, 21 years old, 46% ABV, 700ml capacity.
The tasting will take place on 20.05.2024 at Genting Distillery's Washback Bar. Tickets are only available on the Genting Distillery official website and cost £500, which is about 4,500 RMB at the prevailing exchange rate, with a limit of 30 places.
