Ouyang Xiu, known as Uncle Yong, was a famous politician, writer and historian in the Northern Song Dynasty, with a strong and beautiful poetic style.
In the spring of 1047 AD, Ouyang Xiu wrote this poem when he saw the lively scene of peasants after the worship of the gods in Chuzhou.
