So far, the seriously injured Nepalese climber has been rescued from danger and is being escorted by rescue teams.

Local police confirmed to Orange Persimmon Interactive that further rescue is underway.

Multiple outdoor professionals told Orange Persimmon Interactive that among those killed and missing were Anna Gutu, a fairly good female climber, and her Sherpa guide, Mingmar Sherpa.

At about four o'clock that afternoon, when they climbed 300-400 meters from the summit, two large avalanches occurred!

Anna Gutu is the record holder for this year's K2 women's speed climb, Chogory Peak (K2), 8611 meters above sea level, where "K" refers to the Karakoram Mountains and "2" represents the second surveyed peak in the Karakoram Mountains.

K2 is only about 200 meters lower than Mount Everest, the highest peak on Earth, but is considered one of the most dangerous and challenging mountains in the world.

In the outdoor mountaineering circle, Anna Gutu is a legendary woman who has successfully climbed 13 of Earth's 8,000-meter peaks in six months.

Orange Persimmon Interactive noticed that in the self-profile of Anna Gutu's personal self-media account, she had climbed Lhotse Peak, the world's fourth highest peak, the Himalayas, in less than 24 hours, at an altitude of 8,516 meters, 3 kilometers south of Mount Everest, the highest peak on Earth.

Insiders said: Tragically, their exploration was interrupted by this avalanche!

At 8,027 meters above sea level, Shishabangma is one of the fourteen extreme peaks in the world above 8,000 meters, and the last extreme peak challenged by Anna Gutu.

Shishabangma is also the only 8,000-meter peak entirely within China, located in the middle of the Himalayas and one of the famous peaks of the Himalayas, about 120 kilometers southeast of Mount Everest.

At 17:42 on April 26, 2023, Chinese mountaineer Dong Hongjuan (also known as Jingxue) climbed the peak of Shishabangma Peak at an altitude of 8,027 meters.

Data show that this is one of the centers of modern glaciation in the Himalayas, with an ice tower area between 5000~5800 meters above sea level, thousands of meters long, and the scene shape is very strange, like an "ice crystal garden".

But it is covered with ice and snow cracks crisscrossing it, and avalanches can sometimes occur.

The climb of Shishabangma is extremely difficult, and the snow on a bladed ridge before reaching the summit is extremely unstable and dangerous.

By the end of 2003, only 201 people had successfully reached the summit, and 19 people had paid with their lives.

Shishabangma Peak, which means "cold climate and bad and changeable weather" in Tibetan, literally means "mountain overlooking the grassland".

Orange Persimmon Interactive noticed that after the incident, fans left messages to commemorate Anna Gutu, a female climber -

"Heartbroken after learning the news of the avalanche, you are one of the nicest people I have ever met. I didn't know what to say, I cried. Life is so unpredictable..."

"Today we have lost our most beautiful light. The world would never be brighter without you. You are forever frozen by time. I love you very much. ”

"We will miss you terribly, angel."

As a woman, why did Anna Gutu climb peaks? How did the whole journey begin?

She confessed in the account -

My favorite quote from Benjamin Franklin is, "Many young people die at the age of 25 but are not buried until they are 75".

"I've been hiking, indoor rock climbing and trail running for a while, and for a long time my fascination with mountains was dreamy, a little otherworldly."

In her confession, she talks about her awareness of challenging the Earth's extreme peaks, such as climbing Chogory.

"It was once considered a curse for female climbers. Before 2004, five women who had climbed the summit of Chogory had died during or shortly after climbing the mountain. As of 2022, fewer than 20 women have summited Chogory.

"I'm glad to see: in 2022, history was made and 26 female climbers stood on top of the mountain. I have personally met many brave women and become friends with them.

"Too many of us are not living our dreams because we live in fear.

"But we shouldn't be deterred by fear. Grab your chance and you may lose. But because I didn't try, I already lost..."
