On May 17, the 14th Songshan Lake China IC Innovation Summit Forum was held in Songshan Lake. With the theme of "Smart Robots", the forum attracted more than 100 guests from industry experts, entrepreneurs, investment institutions, and industry media.

94.5% of the chips recommended by the Songshan Lake Forum have achieved mass production
"Since it was held in 2011, it has been held for the 14th time this year, and there has been no interruption. This shows that Dongguan is not only the base camp of China's chip demand, but also a very good blessed land. Dai Weimin, founder, chairman and president of VeriSilicon, summarized the past achievements of the Songshan Lake Forum, and focused on the remarkable achievements of the forum in promoting domestic chips and promoting the ecological construction of China's integrated circuit industry.
It is reported that in the past 13 years, the Songshan Lake Forum has promoted about 10 domestic chips every year, of which as many as 94.5% of the chips have achieved mass production. A total of 79 companies were featured at the forum, of which 20% have already been successfully listed, and another 6 are in the process of being listed.
This year's Songshan Lake Forum focused on the field of "smart robots" and released 10 new products representing China's advanced IC design level, including Hefei Yinniu Microelectronics Perception, AI and SLAM Module Integrated SoC (NU4500), Beijing ESWIN 64-bit RISC-V core edge computing SoC (EIC7700/7902-C), Hefei Kuxin Micro Intelligent Vision SoC (AR9481), etc.
Innovative IC products implant flexible limbs, bright eyes, and intelligent brains for traditional robots, and smart robots have slowly entered our world. In the future, the application of various scenarios in all walks of life will be implemented, and the intelligent transformation and upgrading of industry and life will be accelerated.
Dongguan accelerates the development of the intelligent robot industry
In recent years, the development trend of Dongguan's intelligent robot industry is good, with a number of industry backbone enterprises such as Topstar, Gu Hi-tech, and Li Qun Automation, with an operating income of more than 60 billion yuan. According to the plan, by 2025, the operating income of related industries will exceed 80 billion yuan, of which the annual output of industrial robots will exceed 20,000 sets.
"In the field of intelligent robots, Songshan Lake has cultivated and incubated leading enterprises such as Cloud Whale and Yidong by building a complete robot and intelligent hardware ecosystem, and has a good market demand for chips and upstream and downstream facilities." Huang Jingquan, member of the Party Working Committee and deputy director of the Management Committee of Songshan Lake, said that Songshan Lake is actively building an innovation ecosystem of "source innovation, technological innovation, achievement transformation, and enterprise cultivation", and accelerating the construction of an "ecological rainforest" for scientific and technological innovation.
In the roundtable forum, industry experts focused on the theme of "smart" robots, analyzed from multiple dimensions such as technology and application, and shared a lot of unique insights on how to empower robots to better enter the mass market through AI technology, and also pointed out the direction for the development of Dongguan's smart robot industry.
Through the platform of Songshan Lake China IC Innovation Summit Forum, domestic chips can more widely demonstrate their technical strength and market potential, attracting the attention and support of more investment institutions and enterprises. At the same time, the forum also provides opportunities for exchanges and cooperation between upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain, and promotes the coordinated development of the industrial chain and the improvement of ecological construction.
Dongguan strives to build a competitive integrated circuit industry cluster by 2025
At the event site, Song Tao, consultant of Dongguan Municipal Government and chairman of Dongguan Biotechnology Industry Development Co., Ltd., said that Dongguan is based on the basic advantages of the trillion-level consumer electronics industry, with a good foundation for the semiconductor and integrated circuit industry, and a relatively complete industrial chain and supporting facilities, among which, Songshan Lake has gathered more than 90% of the city's integrated circuit design and innovation resources, and built a "four beams and eight pillars" to support scientific and technological innovation.
After more than 10 years of cultivation and development, Dongguan's integrated circuit industry has achieved a new situation of innovation and development from scratch and from existence to excellence, gathering China's memory market leading enterprise Memory Technology, Taiwan's listed company Shengqun Semiconductor's mainland headquarters Hetai Semiconductor, China's well-known third-party integrated circuit testing service provider Liyang Chip and other packaging and testing enterprises, with Dongguan City's first integrated circuit design field listed company Saiwei Electronics, domestic high-performance clock chip supplier Dapu Letter, Integrated circuit design enterprises such as Changgong Microelectronics, a supplier of high-performance power chips, as well as well-known third-generation semiconductor substrate material companies in China, such as Zhongtu, Zhonggallium, and Tianyu, have formed an industrial layout with packaging, testing, and design as the core, with third-generation semiconductors as the characteristics, and equipment, raw materials and application industries as the support.
In recent years, the development of the integrated circuit industry has been highly valued by the state, the industrial environment has been continuously optimized, and the innovation ability has been continuously improved. Dongguan and Songshan Lake High-tech Zone have also successively issued the "Administrative Measures for Promoting the Development of Integrated Circuit Industry in Dongguan Songshan Lake High-tech Industrial Development Zone" and "Several Policies for Promoting the Development of Semiconductor and Integrated Circuit Industry Clusters in Dongguan City", focusing on the demands of semiconductor and integrated circuit enterprises in terms of land, research and development, equipment, application, finance, and employment, giving all-round support to the project and empowering and accelerating the development of enterprises. By 2025, the operating income of Dongguan's integrated circuit industry will reach 100 billion yuan, and a competitive integrated circuit industry cluster will be built.
