Huang Zu was a member of the Jiangxia Anlu Huang clan, and during the Eastern Han Dynasty, the Jiangxia Huang clan was a famous scholar family, that is, the Huangxiang clan. Huang Xiang is the protagonist of the "Fan Pillow Wen Yuan" story in the "Twenty-Four Filial Pieties", since huang xiang began, the Huang family has gradually become a famous and prestigious family, and many descendants have been officials to the third duke. When Liu Biao was the pastor of Jingzhou, he reused the local Hao clan forces, and Huang Zu served as the Taishou of Jiangxia.
In April of the second year of Chuping (191), Yuan Shu sent Sun Jian to conquer Jingzhou and attack Liu Biao. Liu Biao sent Huang Zu to fight between Fancheng and Deng County. Sun Jian defeated Huang Zu, took advantage of the victory to pursue, crossed the Han River, and besieged Xiangyang. Liu Biao closed the door and did not fight, and sent Huang Zu out of the city at night to mobilize soldiers. Huang Zu returned with his troops, and Sun Jianfu fought with him. Huang Zu was defeated and fled to the Da Nang Mountains, where Sun Jian pursued him. Huang Zubu will shoot a dark arrow from the bamboo forest, and Sun Jianzhong will be killed by the arrow.
Sun Jian's combat strength was well-known, and in the war between the Kwantung Alliance at the end of the Han Dynasty, hundreds of thousands of troops stagnated, and only Sun Jian and Cao Cao led troops to fight Dong Zhuo. Cao Cao was defeated by Dong Zhuobu's general Xu Rong, and only Sun Jian succeeded in defeating the Western Liang army and beheading Hua Xiong (who gave credit to Second Master Guan in yanyi). Therefore, it is very normal that Huang Zu is not Sun Jian's opponent, and what is abnormal is that Sun Jian was actually shot by Huang Zu's subordinates with a dark arrow.
At the age of 16, Sun Cezi inherited his father's business, inherited Sun Jian's legacy, and after several years of expansion, Sun Ce occupied the six counties of Jiangdong, laying a base for Sun Wu's regime. Huang Zu was the enemy of Sun Ce and Sun Quan's brothers, and in order to expand west, he had to attack Jiangxia. In the fourth year of Jian'an (199), Sun Ce led an army to attack Huang Zu yu Shaxian. In the eighth year of Jian'an (203), Sun Quan attacked Huang Zu and defeated Huang Zu's zhou army, but could not break the city. In the eleventh year of Jian'an (206), Cao Cao's general Zhang Liao attacked Jiangxia Commandery, and at least 2 counties in the northern part of Jiangxia County fell into the hands of Cao Jun. In the twelfth year of Jian'an (207), Sun Quan marched west to huangzu and captured some of the people under Huangzu's rule.
Although historical records record that Huang Zu repeatedly lost battles against the Sun brothers, relying on Liu Biao's defensive strategy, his Jiangxia territory never fell into the hands of the Sun family, and only the military and civilians were captured, in addition, Huang Zujun also had a small victory in shooting ling Cao and Xu Kun. This is where Huang Zuqi is, although he often loses battles, he can always shoot local generals, Sun Jian, Ling Cao, and Xu Kun are all living examples.
Huang Zu also did something very interesting, he killed the first troll of the Three Kingdoms, You Heng. In the third year of Jian'an (198), Cao Cao sent You Heng to send an envoy to Jingzhou, because of insulting Liu Biao, Liu Biao felt ashamed and could not tolerate it, believing that Jiangxia was too defensive of Huang Zu's impatient temperament, so he gave You Heng to Huang Zu. Originally, You Heng and Huang Zu got along well, but later You Heng made a mistake and began to spray people, who knew that Huang Zu was a big old man who did not care about his reputation, and directly ordered you to be killed.
In the thirteenth year of Jian'an (208), Sun Quan sent an army to carry out another western expedition against Huangzu. At that time, Liu Biao had died of illness, and after a bitter battle, the Eastern Wu army finally defeated Huang Zu's army, and Huang Zu, who was unable to resist Sun Quan, fled from Jiangxia, but was chased by the knight Feng Ze. Sun Quan ordered that Huang Zu's first rank be placed in a container for examination. After obtaining the first rank of Huang Zu, Sun Quan sacrificed his deceased father Sun Jian, and the revenge of killing his father for 15 years was finally repaid, which was really too difficult!
Huang Zu is a typical representative of the local Hao clan, under liu biao, Huang Zu has been firmly in Jiangxia for nearly 20 years, so that the Sun family has not been able to move west, although it has always been at a disadvantage in the confrontation with the Sun clan, but it is as smelly and hard as the stones in the pit.
