Rwanda is a landlocked country located in central East Africa, close to the equator.

Most of the territory is plateau and mountainous, with more than 1,800 large and small mountains, known as the "Land of a Thousand Hills". Most areas have a savannah climate.

With a total area of 26,338 square kilometres and a population of 13.25 million (22 years), the official languages are Kinyarwanda, English and French, and the ethnic groups are Hutu, Tutsi and Twa. Catholic, primitive religion, Protestant Christianity, capital Kigali, national anthem "Beautiful Rwanda", national day July 1, currency Rwandan franc.

Rwanda's economy is dominated by traditional agriculture and animal husbandry. Agriculture produces food crops such as maize, sorghum and rice and cash crops such as coffee. There is no modern industry in the country.

The average annual temperature is only about 18 degrees Celsius, and it is known as the "country of ivy" and "the Switzerland of Africa".
