Before the departure of this group of students, the reporter visited Musanze Vocational and Technical College and the Rwandan "Luban Workshop" located in the college. The Rwanda Luban Workshop was established by Jinhua Vocational and Technical College in cooperation with the Rwanda Polytechnic and was inaugurated at Musanze Vocational and Technical College in November last year.

Yasher, 23, is a third-year electrical automation student. He said that studying in Rwanda had given him a solid foundation of technical knowledge, and he was looking forward to studying in China. "Going to China for further study will enhance my practical skills and theoretical knowledge, and cultivate stronger competitiveness for the future. ”

Asher said that as a rapidly developing country, Rwanda is actively introducing the latest technologies such as electrical automation. "Electrical automation is a growing career field, and studying this profession will contribute to the development of our country. ”

Asher believes that the cooperation between schools not only promotes academic development, but also serves as a bridge for cultural exchange and a platform for mutual learning. While exploring Chinese culture, he hopes to let more Chinese understand the history and culture of Rwanda.

According to Wu Weixin, a teacher at Jinhua Vocational and Technical College in Rwanda, e-commerce and electrical automation are the two majors that Luban Workshop cooperates with. At present, the technical standards of these two professions have been approved by the Rwanda University of Technology, the Rwanda Higher Education Commission and the Rwandan Ministry of Education, and are included in the Rwanda Vocational and Technical Standards System. Students will study and practice in a two-stage "2+1" (2 years in Musanze, Rwanda, and 1 year in Jinhua, China).

"In terms of hardware facilities, we have set up five training rooms at the Luban Workshop in Rwanda, which are specially equipped with the equipment required for our two cooperative majors," said Wu Weixin. ”

Up to now, the Rwanda Luban Workshop has recruited and trained a total of 210 trainees and carried out nearly 10,000 "Chinese + vocational skills" training, providing important support for the talent training of Chinese-funded enterprises in Rwanda and the improvement of Rwandan youth employability.
