Coincidentally, before that, in 2021, Morocco's old rival Algeria also bought Wing Loong 2, which led to the situation of Wing Loong 2 "roommate".
Because the Wing Loong 2 of the two sides has the same radar signal characteristics, this puts forward high requirements for the target recognition ability of the air defense forces of the two countries, and if the radar cannot timely and accurately identify friend or foe, there will be a misshot or the result of being abused by the opponent. Some people may say that it is not enough to distinguish between different paints, but the Wing Loong 2 has already achieved "over-the-horizon attack", and its AG300/M missile has a range of 18 kilometers, and the larger AG300/L has a range of 40 kilometers, far exceeding the Apache gunship's Helfa air-to-surface missile. Therefore, visual recognition simply does not work.
