On April 24, the high-profile Leapmotor C16 model was unveiled on the eve of the Beijing Auto Show, the car is positioned as a medium and large SUV, and will be the first model equipped with 800V fast charging for Leapmotor, which is expected to be launched and delivered in the middle of this year.
First of all, in terms of appearance, the new car almost continues the family design style of Leap C10, which is simple and atmospheric. The front face adopts a blackened through-light cluster design, with a straight nose, a black trapezoidal lower grille design below, longitudinal air intakes on both sides, and a lidar embedded above the front windshield.

In terms of power, the Leapmotor C16 will support 800-volt fast charging, with an extended range version and a pure electric version to choose from, of which the extended range version is equipped with a 1.5L four-cylinder range extender with a maximum power of 70 kilowatts, and the maximum power of the drive motor is 170 kilowatts, and the pure electric version adopts the form of rear rear-wheel drive, with a maximum power of 215 kilowatts, and uses lithium iron phosphate batteries as energy storage devices. In terms of battery life, the Leapmotor C16 extended range version has a pure electric range of 134 kilometers from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It should be noted that although Leapmotor C16 adopts advanced 800V fast charging technology, the construction of charging infrastructure is somewhat imperfect, which may have a certain impact on the user's charging experience.
