In 2019, Huidong Beyond Agriculture Co., Ltd. built a modern blueberry park in Huidong County through land circulation, with a total planning of planting 10,000 mu of blueberries, and has planted 5,000 mu so far, which is the largest single blueberry matrix planting base in Sichuan Province and even in China.
At present, the main varieties planted in the park are Sushi blue, emerald and jewelry, and the emerald varieties have high yield, full fruit powder, sweet taste, and the ripening season is from October to May of the following year.

"Mixed race" is not the only advantage of Huidong blueberries. In the automated sorting line of the park, the sorting equipment from the French company Miffe is quietly waiting for the next batch of ripe blueberries to arrive.
The sorting line is mainly divided into three working modules, the first module is the pretreatment of blueberry fruit, and the impurities other than blueberry fruits on the sorting line are screened out. The second module adopts optical sorting technology, using high-speed cameras and infrared cameras to take 46 photos of each blueberry in an instant, and sorts the external and internal defects, size, softness and hardness, maturity, and sugar degree, just like the identity authentication of each blueberry, providing a traceability basis. The third module can directly sort the finished blueberries into the PTE box according to a fixed number of grams, and the worker can complete the sorting by loading it into the carton at the end of the sorting line.
"3 tons of blueberries can be automatically sorted and packed per hour, which is equivalent to the workload of 20 workers in 1 day." Chen Xinku said that the automated sorting production line can greatly improve work efficiency, reduce fruit powder loss, and maximize the quality and condition of blueberry fruit.
