On May 10, the reporter came to the blueberry base of Liuzhou Lanbo Family Farm Co., Ltd., located in Gangong Village, Tubo Town, Liujiang District. Clusters of brightly colored blueberry fruits hang from the branches, and the ripe fruits are more crystal clear and mouth-watering after being "baptized" by the rain. Pick one and put it in your mouth, and the full juice bursts out in your mouth, sweet and sour, accompanied by a rich fragrance. Pickers are busy shuttling among the blueberry trees, picking ripe fruits, a busy harvest scene.
It is understood that the base began to plant blueberries in 2013, with a current planting area of 320 acres, the main varieties are Lanmei No. 1, Legasi, Misty, O'Neill, etc., with an estimated yield of 2,000 pounds per mu and an output value of about 13,000 yuan per mu. In addition to receiving tourists to pick in the park, the base also picks and packages some fruits and sells them to major wholesale markets and fresh supermarkets in Guangzhou, Liuzhou and other places. This year's blueberry garden was officially opened on May 5, and the peak period of blueberry ripening will be entered in late May, and the picking period lasts until July, with a picking ticket of 30 yuan/person and a picking price of 40 yuan/catty.
The construction of the blueberry base also provides employment opportunities for the surplus labor force in the surrounding villages at the "doorstep", turning farmers into industrial workers and boosting the masses to increase their income and get rich. "I have been working in the base for 5 years, it is very convenient to be close to home, and I can pick about 50 catties of blueberries a day during the peak period, and I have an income of 100 yuan a day." Lan Meiren, a nearby villager, said.
"At this stage, we have reached an agreement with external enterprises to carry out deep processing of blueberries, and plan to produce a batch of blueberry juice, which will be supplied to various supermarkets through live broadcast or direct wholesale, so as to add a new sales method to the blueberry industry chain." In recent years, relying on the blueberry characteristic industry, the base has continuously adjusted the development path, built a tourist reception center, ecological restaurant, product exhibition hall, parking lot, cold storage and other supporting facilities, set up kiln chicken, barbecue and other venues, combined agriculture with leisure and sightseeing, attracted a large number of tourists from Nanning, Guilin, Yizhou and other surrounding areas to experience ecological agriculture.
