Today, Mr. Chen, a party to the Tesla Wenzhou incident, posted a public apology letter on his certified Weibo account.

There are several key pieces of information inside:

1/ On the night of the accident, I drove home on the road inside the community and suddenly found that someone appeared in front of me, wanted to step on the brake, but stepped on the wrong one, put the throttle as the brake, the vehicle rushed into the parking lot, collided with the parking lot road gate, parked multiple vehicles, isolation rail, etc.

2/ After the accident, although I knew that I had stepped on the accelerator as a brake, I was unwilling and began to fabricate the content in August.

3/ In the above-mentioned acts, other self-proclaimed "rights protection" car owners also came to contact me. Mr. Feng, the owner of the Shanghai car, took the initiative to contact me and introduced me to a certain platform, the platform arranged a lawyer for me, all the fees of the first-instance lawyer were paid by this platform, and I myself did not pay any of the first-instance lawyers' fees. Ms. Henan Car Advocate and Tianjin car owner Mr. Han also contacted me. I also joined the group of activist car owners, but later I quit the group because of different ideas. After the judgment was rendered, Ms. Henan Che asked me to write a joint petition class action with other car owners, but I refused.

The full text of the apology letter is as above, simply summarized: I did step on the wrong step, I deliberately created rumors, and there was support behind it.

There are several key people here: Mr. Feng and platform in Shanghai, Ms. Zhang in Henan, and Mr. Han, the owner of tianjin.

The story of Ms. Zhang in Henan is like this:

At about 18:00 on February 21, the owner's father, Mr. Zhang, collided with another vehicle while driving along national highway 341. On the evening of the same day, the traffic police issued a letter of responsibility for the accident: It was determined that Mr. Zhang violated the provisions of relevant laws on safe driving and maintaining a safe distance from the car in front of him, and should bear full responsibility for the accident. In response to this accident caused by illegal driving, we expressed our willingness to assist Ms. Zhang in completing vehicle maintenance and insurance claims, but ms. Zhang strongly refused.

On March 6, Ms. Zhang put a seal on the whole car to refuse any form of vehicle testing, and made demands for returning the car, as well as compensation for mental losses, medical expenses, and lost work expenses.

On the morning of March 9, the Zhengzhou New District Market Supervision and Administration Bureau invited Tesla and Ms. Zhang to mediate, and finally Ms. Zhang agreed to choose a third-party testing technology agency to negotiate the appraisal matter and sign the mediation statement.

On the afternoon of March 9, Ms. Zhang repented and once again blocked the accident car with the seal back to the Tesla store, and clearly told the Tesla staff that she would not accept, would not recognize any third-party test results, nor would she accept any mediation, and continued to defend her rights by sitting on the roof of the car and playing the recording on a loop with a horn.

For Ms. Zhang to question the failure of the brakes, after the review and analysis of the vehicle data and on-site photos, Tesla found that the speed of the vehicle before pressing the brake pedal was 118.5km/h, the ABS worked normally during braking, the front impact warning and automatic emergency braking function started and played a role, and the vehicle braking system was not abnormal.

But Ms. Zhang is obviously not satisfied with the results of this appraisal, and has repeatedly claimed that the appraisal agency "China Quality Certification Center" given by the Municipal Supervision Bureau is not credible, and it is possible to have "cattiness" with Tesla, so compared to finding her own satisfactory testing agency to make things public, Ms. Zhang chose to form a partnership with Ms. Li and make a fuss to the end.
