Recently, the owner of the car posted an apology letter on his personal social media.
The owner mistakenly uses the throttle as a brake on the way home, causing the vehicle to rush into the parking lot and collide with the parking lot barrier, multiple vehicles parked, and the barrier. Subsequently, in interviews with Douyin, Weibo, radio and television stations, the owner continued to fabricate content such as "Tesla automatic acceleration brake failure" and "cherish life away from Tesla".
Tesla then sued the owner in court, and the case took effect in March this year after the first and second trials. The judgment found that the owner of the car constituted an infringement of Tesla's reputation, apologized to Tesla and compensated for economic losses.

Wenzhou car owners drove Tesla Model 3 cars on August 20 last year when they drove into a parking lot and collided with multiple cars. According to the civil judgment, after the incident, a large team of the Traffic Management Bureau of the Wenzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau entrusted the Wenzhou Society of Automotive Engineering to identify the accident vehicle. On October 13, 2020, the "Appraisal Opinion" was issued, which was based on the analysis of the car crash data, combined with the fact that the brake lights were not lit when it accelerated into the parking lot, and the brake pedals did not work (in the state of not being stepped on) within 5 seconds before the accident collision.
On October 16, 2020, when the Wenzhou car owner made a record of the traffic brigade, he had no objection to the appraisal opinion in the above-mentioned "Appraisal Opinion", admitting that he did not step on the brake at that time, but used the accelerator as a brake. On October 27, 2020, the traffic brigade determined that the owner of the car should bear full responsibility for the accident.
Despite acknowledging that there was an operational error, the owner then continued to say on social platforms and public media that "the vehicle suddenly accelerated, the brakes failed", etc., and used the username of "Wenzhou Tesla out of control owner" on social platforms, which attracted a lot of clicks and attention.
