Three years ago, I made the decision to buy a car, and looking back, I regret it. At that time, despite the advice of my friends, I spent 70,000 yuan to buy a German Volkswagen Santana. But reality told me that the car was completely different from my expectations.
At the beginning, my friends suggested that I consider domestic cars, such as Geely Emgrand and Changan Yidong, because the entry-level version of the joint venture car is usually low and not worth it. However, I think that the Volkswagen Santana is at least a Volkswagen brand and should be fuel-efficient and durable, and as for the exterior and interior, I don't care too much.
However, three years of actual experience in the car has completely changed my opinion. First of all, the size of the Santana is on the small side, the appearance is not atmospheric enough, and the interior space is very narrow, which greatly reduces the ride comfort. However, what I regret the most is choosing a manual transmission. Compared with the automatic transmission, the manual transmission is cumbersome to operate in congestion, frequently stepping on the clutch and braking, and having to manually change gears, which greatly increases the fatigue of driving.
Looking back on this experience of buying a car, I feel deeply reflective. Perhaps, if I had the opportunity to choose again, I would consider the model and equipment more carefully, rather than blindly pursuing the brand or saving money. The performance, configuration and comfort of a car are directly related to the daily driving experience, and choosing the right model for your needs is the most important thing.
