According to domestic media reports, Volkswagen Santana's monthly sales plummeted from more than 6,000 units in April this year to only one unit in November.

And the reason behind this, a Volkswagen dealer feedback, the Santana factory production line has been discontinued, and the last batch of cars to arrive in the store in the middle of this year is already the last batch of cars, so there is one less car to sell, and it is more difficult to buy Santana now.

In the future, Volkswagen may replace the Santana with other new models, which also means that the first generation of magic cars will retire from the stage of history.

It is reported that the Volkswagen Santana currently on sale is a 2021 model, with a total of four models, with a price range of 87,900-112,800 yuan, a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine, and two transmissions: manual transmission and automatic transmission.

However, as Volkswagen's most entry-level compact sedan, the overall configuration and product competitiveness of Santana are not strong.

The body length of the Santana is 4475mm, the wheelbase is 2603mm, and the body size is quite different from the 4.7 meters of the domestic standard A-class car;

At the same time, the configuration of the vehicle is also low, in addition to the steel wheels, the low-spec model is also absent from the multi-function steering wheel, and all models do not have electronic parking brake, automatic air conditioning, rear exhaust air vents, power seat adjustment, keyless entry start and other configurations.

Compared with domestic cars of the same level in China, the gap between the two cars in terms of size, configuration and power is obvious, but Santana currently has a market terminal discount of 30,000 yuan, and the lowest automatic transmission naked car can be picked up at 68,900 yuan;
