Divine Beast is Haval's latest flagship SUV, under the blessing of Lemon Global high-intelligence modular technology platform and Coffee Intelligence 2.0, Divine Beast has many intelligent elements. But just looking at a car may not be able to perceive whether it is good or not, so we decided to find a car of the same class to compare.
In the range of 130,000-170,000, the same high heat and independent brand flagship, Geely Xingyue L is one of the options. So we pulled both cars to the Shenzhen Intelligent NetworkIng Test Base this time to see who performed better.

What was the final score?
Coming to our intelligent network test site, of course, is to test in accordance with our ICT-300 Jizhi + intelligent car test system standards, so as to be able to fully reflect the intelligent level of the two products. The ICT-300 test is divided into three sections: intelligent driving, intelligent cockpit and performance test, and the entire system has accumulated more than 60 test items.
First of all, the final result, the Haval Divine Beast has a total score of 197, while the Gilly Star Yue L score is 163. The difference in scores between the two is still relatively large, and the difference in scores is mainly in the intelligent driving section, the smart cockpit and the performance part.
Next, we will analyze the three major parts of intelligent driving, intelligent cockpit and performance test one by one.

Smart driving section
The first part to expand is about intelligent driving. In the intelligent driving part, the Haval Divine Beast tested 41 points more than the Geely Star L in the closed field test, because the Star Yue L dummy evasion test all failed, and the automatic parking test did not pass all the challenges, and the Divine Beast was all successful in these environments, and it is for this reason that the scores of the two opened up the gap.
Sensor/upgrade capability
Based on coffee intelligence 2.0 technology, Haval Mythical Beast is equipped with a wealth of driver assistance hardware: 8 cameras (front-view monocular camera x1, surround view camera x4, in-car A-pillar face recognition camera x1, in-car DVR camera x2) In addition, if there is an optional AVP intelligent driving parking assistance model, there will be 1 more AVP camera in front. There are 5 millimeter-wave radars (4 angle radars, 1 forward medium- and long-range millimeter-wave radar). The driver-assisted vision chip is the Mobile EyeQ4. The mythical beast is still built on the lemon platform and supports the OTA upgrade of the whole vehicle.
Geely Xingyue L hardware also has 5 millimeter wave radar (4 angle radar, 1 forward medium and long-range millimeter wave radar), 5 cameras (surround view camera x4, driver assistance perception camera x1), driver assistance chip is currently not officially released information. Hoshigoku L uses the CMA Intelligent Evolvable Electrical and Electronic Architecture, which also supports OTA upgrades for the entire vehicle.
In this link, the score of the sensor two is the same, and in terms of upgrade ability, the divine beast has 5 points more than the star more L, because the god beast has an OTA upgrade for the T-box and other systems, and the star-more L currently only has an OTA push for the car machine system.

Closed site comprehensive testing
Adaptive cruise/high-speed cornering hold test
Adaptive test conditions: The test car opens the adaptive cruise function at 80km/h, and sets the following distance to the second box. Then, during the driving process, the target vehicle will encounter non-emergency congestion in front, and then the target vehicle will slowly stop and start again after 10 seconds after stopping.
Curve holding test conditions: The test vehicle starts the adaptive cruise and lane keeping functions at 80km/h, and then the vehicle passes a curve to test the vehicle's lane-keeping ability at high speed.
Adaptive cruising and cornering hold are basic driver assistance functions, and the average model will not have problems in both tests. Both the Divine Beast and the Hoshikoshi L can recognize the deceleration of the front car in time, and can also keep the vehicle in the middle of the lane well when cornering.
Special Terrain: Pile avoidance
Whether the vehicle can recognize the pile and avoid it, this seemingly simple test, behind the driver assistance system needs to have a strong algorithm and hardware support. In this link, we turn on all the driver assistance functions of the vehicle at a speed of 30km/h to see if the vehicle will have a warning or avoidance action when it encounters a pile bucket group.
Fixed dummy identification and avoidance
Test conditions: a child dummy is fixed in the middle of the zebra crossing, the test car starts the adaptive cruise at a speed of 50km/h and all the driving assistance functions pass to see if the test car can stop in time in front of the dummy.
Mobile dummy identification and avoidance
Test conditions: An adult dummy will pass the zebra crossing at a speed of 5km/h, and then the test car will turn on the adaptive cruise at a speed of 40km/h and all the driving assistance functions will pass to see if the test car can stop in time in front of the dummy.
Ghost probe identification and avoidance
Test conditions: The child dummy crosses the zebra crossing at a speed of 5km/h, and the test vehicle starts cruising at 40km/h and passes all driving assistance functions. Unlike the mobile dummy crossing test, the ghost probe will add a fixed obstacle car to the front side of the zebra crossing, which will form an emergency situation of "ghost probe" when the test vehicle is close to the zebra crossing.
Tunnel fixed obstacle vehicle identification and avoidance
Test conditions: A fixed target vehicle model is placed in the simulated tunnel, and the test vehicle starts cruising at a speed of 50knm/h and all driving assistance functions are close to see if the final test vehicle can avoid the target vehicle.
Target truck emergency plug recognition and avoidance
Test conditions: The target vehicle will be more urgent at a speed of 20km/h, while the test vehicle will cruise at a speed of 50km/h.
Automatic parking
In addition, the beast can also choose avP intelligent driving parking assistance package, with this auxiliary package, the beast supports point-to-point memory parking, valet parking AVP, exploration and other functions, in some scenarios to achieve the use of mobile phones to park the vehicle itself into the parking space. The Hoshikoshi L currently has no mobile phone remote parking function, and last year, Hoshigoku L had news that it supported 5G-AVP 1km unmanned parking technology, but it did not eventually appear on the mass production car.
Closed field test score
In the closed field, the Haval Divine Beast scored 65 and the Gilly Star Yue L scored 30. The difference of 35 points between the two is mainly because the Hoshikoshi L dummy evasion scene failed to pass, and due to the size of the body, the automatic parking with obstacles did not pass the challenge. And the Divine Beast these items can be tested.
Open road testing
After the closed field test, we still had to go to the real road to experience and see how the driver assistance system of the two cars performed in the open scene.
First of all, the Haval Divine Beast, in addition to the regular adaptive cruise and lane keeping functions, also has the functions of light lane change and HWA high-speed driving assistance. The HWA high-speed driver assistance name may be a little more complicated, but it is actually an enhanced version of the adaptive cruise application, in the conventional car, if the front car speed is too slow, the system will automatically change lanes to improve driving efficiency. However, it should be noted that this function is still quite different from automatic navigation assisted driving, which supports functions such as entering and exiting ramps, merging into the main road, and active obstacle avoidance.
In the actual high speed, the high-speed driving assistance function of the sacred beast HWA has indeed changed lanes several times, all because there are large trucks driving at low speeds in front of them, which is an improvement in the degree of intelligence compared to traditional adaptive cruises.
In addition to basic functions such as adaptive cruise and lane keeping, Hoshigoku L also supports the light lane change function, but does not support automatic lane change. Therefore, in the process of driving the high speed, the light lane change does not feel that there is too much practicality, rather than waiting for the system to change, it is better for the driver to deal with it himself. From this point of view, the HWA high-speed driving assistance function of the mythical beast is still of some practical significance.
In the traditional project adaptive cruise and lane keeping function, the difference between the two is not large, can normally identify the vehicle for deceleration, can normally keep the body in the middle of the lane.

Smart cockpit section
The other side of intelligence is the smart cockpit. A good cockpit, in addition to meeting the driver's basic function switch, can also improve the efficiency and convenience of interaction, and meet the various entertainment needs of the occupants.
In the smart cockpit part, the score of Haval Divine Beast and Geely Star Yue L is not much different, and the Star Yue L is slightly better in performance, so the score is a little higher than that of the God Beast. The performance of the total score and the score of each subdivision is better, indicating that the balance and functionality of both are strong in terms of vehicle and machine.

Voice interaction
Voice interaction is the most reflective aspect of the degree of cockpit intelligence, its semantic recognition ability, reaction speed, control permissions, etc. all determine whether the whole system is intelligent enough.
In the part of the voice routine function, Haval Divine Beast and Geely Star Yue L both support memory control for navigation, music, air conditioning, and window opening and closing, and the overall response speed is better. It should be noted that the instructions issued by the divine beast to the speaker are more difficult to identify, so only the on-site personnel can read out the instruction test, and the Star Yue L can normally recognize the speaker playing the command.
In the voice correction link, the two models could not correctly recognize the non-standard Mandarin language orders. Of course, this pronunciation is still relatively difficult, and there are not many models in our ICT-300 list that can be fully recognized.
In the semantic association link, the vague instructions of the divine beast for the air conditioner can be correctly recognized, while the navigation order only recognizes one of the sentences, "I want to go to eat McDonald's near Jing'an Temple", which cannot be correctly recognized. The cross-functional compound language command aspect of the mythical beast is recognized but can only execute one of the instructions. The Star-Crossing L can recognize and execute normally for both space and navigation long language orders, and cross-functional language orders can either recognize incomplete language orders or only one of them after recognition.
Intelligent advanced requirements
After looking at the surface texture and internal functions of the car machine, we put forward higher level requirements for the smart cockpit, involving some functions that are more in-depth with the car life, such as remote control of the vehicle, personalized memory, online updates and interesting small functions.

Performance testing section
Earlier, we have seen the performance of Shenbeast and Hoshikoshi L in intelligent driving and intelligent cockpit in the ICT-300 intelligent car evaluation standard. Next, the car itself will be controlled by acceleration, braking, elk, pile winding and noise tests to see how it performs.
In the performance test section, the difference in scoring between the Haval Divine Beast and the Gilly Star L was even smaller, and the difference between the two was only 1 point. The Dynamic Performance Score of the Divine Beast is slightly higher than that of the Star-More L, but the in-car noise score of the Star-More L smooths out these differences, so the difference in scores between the two cars is small.
0-100km/h acceleration
The test of the Mythical Beast and the Hoshikoshi L are both top-of-the-line models, both equipped with 2.0T engines and a timely four-wheel drive system, the engine of the Hoshikoshi L has a higher maximum power, and the maximum torque platform of the Divine Beast comes earlier.
The final result of the star more L is slightly faster than the divine beast, which is also reasonable, after all, the star more L engine power is higher, but the two are relatively good in the early 7 seconds. The mythical beast has a SUPERSPORT mode, the buttons exist independently on the steering wheel, after pressing, there are sound effects and exclusive dashboard UI appear, the power is more grumpy, tap the accelerator vehicle will break. In this mode, as long as you press the brake throttle at the same time to hold the speed, the system will automatically activate the catapult mode, after releasing the brake, the vehicle will jump out at full strength, the transmission will also aim at performance, and the comfort of the gear shift will be weakened to a certain extent.

After completing the ICT-300 test, we all saw that the Haval Divine Beast blessed by the lemon + coffee dual platform and the Geely Star Yue L blessed by the CMA platform had excellent performance. Among them, the performance of the Haval Divine Beast will be more comprehensive, and there is no obvious shortcoming in any aspect. Especially in safety-related tests, the mythical beast can successfully avoid whether it is a dummy or a fake car. The engine function and performance of the Star Yue L are better, but it is regrettable that all the failures of the intelligent driving part of the dummy evasion test are more regrettable.
After this test, it also makes us feel that whether it is Haval or Geely, independent brands have a trend of standing at the forefront of the trend in the field of intelligence, and they have surpassed the relatively conservative joint venture brands in terms of concept and function.
