China's smartphone sales fell 14% year-on-year in the first quarter, and the top five manufacturers re-ranked

On April 28, data released by market research firm Counterpoint Research showed that China's smartphone sales in the first quarter of this year fell by 14% year-on-year to 74.2 million units, falling to the level of the first quarter of 2020.

Specific to the market share of major manufacturers, the top five mobile phone manufacturers in China in the first quarter were vivo (19.7%), OPPO (18%), Apple (17.9%), Glory (16.9%), Xiaomi (14.9%), Huawei and True Self ranked sixth and seventh with market shares of 6.2% and 2.6%, respectively.

In the last quarter (the fourth quarter of 2021), the top five manufacturers in China's smartphone shipments were Apple, Honor, Vivo, OPPO, and Xiaomi.
