Counterpoint: Q1 2022 global PC shipments down 4.3% y/y

On April 28, Counterpoint announced a report on global PC shipments for the first quarter of 2022, which was 78.7 million units, down 4.3% year-on-year.

Counterpoint said that this year's PC supply chain parts shortage logistics problem has eased compared with the second half of 2021, and the backlog of orders in 2021 has also driven PC shipments in this quarter to some extent.

Dell, the third in the ranking, achieved a small increase in shipments of 13.8 million units, which Counterpoint said was due to the success of its high-end business product strategy, and thanks to the success of the M1 MacBook series, Apple achieved 8% shipment growth to 7.1 million units, ranking fourth in the market.
