The fifth to ninth places in the list are domestic mobile phone brands, namely OPPO Reno 7 5G, Honor 60, vivo S12, Redmi K40, Honor X30, and the price is concentrated between 2000 - 3000 yuan.
Overall, Android accounted for 67% of global 5G smartphone sales in February 2022, with the 10 best-selling models accounting for 20% of that month's sales.
The rise of used refurbished machines
In addition, Counterpoint's report also shows that the growth of global smartphones has slowed down due to the impact of the epidemic.
However, the second-hand mobile phone market has risen strongly, especially the new machines sold after the official refurbishment, and the supply and demand are both booming. Smartphones sold after refurbishment are growing by up to 15% year-on-year.
Compared with the highly priced 5G flagship machine, more and more people tend to buy a slightly lower price of "refurbished machine".
The "refurbished machine" simply repairs the damaged internal components, replaces the new shell, and provides new accessories and packaging for re-sale. Its cost is much lower than that of building a new mobile phone, which is ultimately reflected in the price of a large price advantage over the new machine.
The most prominent regions of "refurbished" sales in 2021 are China, India, Latin America, Southeast Asia and Africa.
Among them, Latin America and India showed the best sales growth. Latin America grew by 29% year-on-year and India grew by 25% year-on-year.
