According to foreign media VideoCardz news, memory manufacturer Yuzhan has now confirmed that AMD Ryzen™ 7000 desktop series processors will support DDR5-5200 memory by default.
According to reports, the Ryzen™ 7000 Series may support DDR5-5200 memory by default, which is 400 MHz higher than the DDR5-4800 supported by the current 12th Generation Core platform. Moreover, the information exposed by Arsene shows that the Ryzen™ 7000 does not support DDR4 memory.
AMD is preparing a new DDR5 memory overclocking technology called EXPO, which includes both high-bandwidth and low-latency modes.
Currently, the standard speed of DDR5 memory is 4800MT/s, and the high-end overclocking models on sale reach DDR5-6400. Memory manufacturers are currently developing a model of the 7000 MT/s. Recently, the MSI overclocking team successfully surpassed the DDR5 memory to DDR5-10004.
AMD's next-generation processor, the Ryzen™ 7000, will feature the Zen4 architecture, code-named "Raphael," which is expected to be released in the second half of this year.
