DDR5 has twice as many banks as DDR4, starts at 8GB per unit and supports up to 128GB per unit according to the JEDEC specification. DDR5 also features error correction support for On-die ECC, which automatically calculates and corrects data errors in memory without CPU correction, improving system stability and data correctness.
