1. The open kitchen is not ventilated
Article 4.2.1 of CJJ12 "Regulations for the Installation and Acceptance of Household Gas Burning Appliances" stipulates that the kitchen where the stove is set should be equipped with a door and separated from the bedroom and living room.
Article 5.3.3 of the GB55009-2021 "Gas Engineering Project Code" stipulates that the user's gas pipelines and accessories shall be reasonably arranged in combination with the structure of the building, and shall be set in a location that is convenient for installation and maintenance, and shall not be set up in bedrooms, guest rooms and other rooms where personnel live and rest.
If there is no effective partition between the open kitchen and the bedroom, guest room, etc., it is regarded as the same space, which does not meet the concept of "dedicated space" in the code that meets the conditions for safe use of gas. In the event of a gas leak or gas explosion, the entire living space can be quickly endangered without any obstruction, posing a serious safety hazard.
2. Do not use gas appliances that exceed the scrapping life
GB17905, Article 7.3.1 of the Rules for the Safety Management of Household Gas Burning Appliances stipulates that from the date of sale, the scrapping period of gas cookers is 8 years, and the scrapping period of natural gas rapid water heaters, volumetric water heaters and heating water heaters is 8 years.
3. Use threads to connect the hose
Clause 6.1.7 of the GB55009-2021 "Gas Engineering Project Specification" stipulates that when the household user's pipeline or LPG cylinder regulator is connected with the gas appliance by a hose, a special gas appliance should be used to connect the hose. The service life of the hose should not be less than the scrap life of the gas appliance.
The service life of gas water heaters and gas cookers is 8 years, and the service life of traditional rubber hoses is only 1.5 years, which does not meet the requirements of regulations and cannot meet the safety use standards. Stainless steel metal corrugated hose has the advantages of longer life, high temperature and corrosion resistance.
4. Gas cookers should be equipped with flame-out protection devices
Clause 6.1.2 of the national standard "Gas Engineering Project Specification" GB55009-2021 stipulates that the gas appliances of household users shall be equipped with flame-out protection devices. The type of gas indicated on the nameplate of the gas appliance should be consistent with the type of gas supplied.
Appliances used in the home must be equipped with flame-out protection devices, which can automatically turn off in the event of a dangerous situation such as gas leakage, so as not to cause major hazards. The use of stoves without flame-out protection is a major safety hazard and must be rectified.
5. Gas self-closing valve needs to be installed
Clause 6.1.9 of the GB55009-2021 "Gas Engineering Project Code" stipulates that the pipeline of household users shall be provided with a safety device that can cut off the gas supply to the stove when the pipeline pressure is lower than the limit value or the flow rate of the pipeline connected to the stove is higher than the limit value, and the installation position shall be determined according to the performance requirements of the safety device.
Household gas must be installed with gas self-closing valves. When the air supply pressure in the pipeline is abnormal or the connected gas pipeline falls off, the self-closing valve can be automatically closed. After the self-closing valve is closed, the user can manually open it to resume gas consumption when the air supply returns to normal.
6. The gas meter must be replaced when it expires
According to the relevant provisions of the "Membrane Gas Meter Verification Regulations JJG577-2012", the service life of the gas meter with natural gas as the medium shall not exceed 10 years, and the gas meter must be scrapped and replaced with a new one if it exceeds the specified service life.

Regulations on the Administration of Urban Gas
Article 27 Gas consumers shall abide by the rules for safe gas use, use qualified gas burning appliances and cylinders, promptly replace gas burning appliances and connecting pipes that have been eliminated by the state or whose service life has expired, and pay gas fees within the agreed time limit。
Article 31 The production unit of gas burning appliances shall clearly mark the type of gas to which it is suitable on the gas burning appliances。
Article 49 In violation of the provisions of these Regulations, if a gas user and relevant units and individuals commit any of the following acts, the gas administration department shall order it to make corrections within a time limit; If the correction is not made within the time limit, a fine of up to 100,000 yuan may be imposed on the unit, and a fine of up to 1,000 yuan may be imposed on the individual; If a loss is caused, it shall be liable for compensation in accordance with the law, and if a crime is constituted, criminal responsibility shall be investigated according to law: (3) Installing and using gas burning appliances that do not meet the requirements of the gas source.
According to Article 1 of the notice of the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau of the relevant cities on further strengthening the security inspection and publicity of gas households: when carrying out household security inspections, gas users should be instructed to abide by the rules of safe gas use, use qualified gas burning appliances and gas cylinders, and promptly replace gas burning appliances and connecting pipes that have been eliminated by the state or whose service life has expired, focusing on the installation of combustible gas alarm devices in catering and other industries.
For users with large or major safety hazards in the inspection, as well as catering and other industries that have not installed combustible gas alarm devices, enterprises should immediately stop gas supply to avoid gas safety accidents, and resume gas supply only after the rectification of hidden dangers is completed.
