Earlier this year, it was reported that AMD would push RAMP memory overclocking technology to cope with Intel's XMP 3.0 solution.
According to videoCardz's latest news, AMD is a technology officially called EXPO (EXTended Profiles for Overclocking), which is an extended profile for overclocking.
AMD's EXPO technology will reportedly provide two memory overclocking profiles for DDR5 memory. The first profile will be optimized for high bandwidth usage, while the latter will be optimized for low latency.
EXPO will be suitable for all types of DDR5 memory, including UDIMM, RDIMM and SO-DIMM, which means that future Ryzen notebooks may also support this technology.
In addition, AMD and Samsung held a webinar this week to discuss the new DDR5 and LPDDR5X memory. AMD memory expert Joseph Tao also mentioned that the Ryzen™ 7000 platform will have good memory overclocking support.
At the PPT at this conference, AMD and Samsung mentioned the DDR5-6400 and LPDDR5X-8500 memory specifications, which may be supported by AMD's next-generation desktop and mobile processors.
