Since its publication, the book has consistently topped Amazon's bestseller list in the Economics category, and is currently ranked No. 1 on its bestseller list in the "Business Entrepreneurship" category and No. 4 on its bestseller list in the "Economics" category (as of May 10).
Xiaoping Chen, Professor of Business Administration at the University of Washington's Foster School of Business, believes that the book reflects Professor Zhang's deep and critical reflection on China's economic miracle over the past 40 years, emphasizing the importance of entrepreneurship and creativity in the face of many uncertainties and obstacles.
Mel Cohen, professor of economics at Dartmouth College, commented: "This book has greatly improved our understanding of entrepreneurship and its important role in the economy.
Historian, sociologist, entrepreneur and author of In Defense of Capitalism, Rainer Zittlemann said: "Zhang Weiying is one of the most important economists of our time. I couldn't agree more with him that the prosperity of the economy is largely due to entrepreneurship. ”
The Chinese version of this book, Re-understanding Entrepreneurship, published by Hainan Publishing House/Li Guo Company in June 2022, is Professor Zhang Weiying's latest research on entrepreneurship. The book focuses on four main questions: How do entrepreneurs make decisions in the real world? Why are there no entrepreneurs in mainstream economics? What does an entrepreneur do? What kind of institutional ecology is most conducive to the development of entrepreneurship? Focusing on these four questions, the book is divided into four parts, with a total of 16 chapters.
