It can be seen from this that in Daiyu's heart, Baoyu is all she has, and in Baoyu's heart, Daiyu is only half of his world at most. Dai Yu lives in the backyard of Jia Province, but she rarely interacts with her sisters and devotes all her energy to Bao Yu. Although Baoyu "likes to mess around inside", he is a boy after all and has the right to freely enter and leave the outside world. As a result, as Baoyu grew older and communicated extensively, Daiyu's weight in his heart became smaller and smaller.
The author's arrangement is particularly clever, Dai Yu is weak and sickly, lack of energy, but Bao Yu is full of energy. Therefore, for Baoyu, who is passing inside and outside, Dai Yu is indeed his perfect match: he wants to have Dai Yu accompany him when he is "mixed up inside"; Dai Yu is tired and sick, and he can go to the outside world to have fun.
However, Daiyu, who was "lonely and self-promising, with no dust in her eyes", was blinded by herself, she thought that she occupied Baoyu's whole world, and she did not know that Baoyu still had a face that she could not see.
From Qin Zhong to Jiang Yuhan, Baoyu never stopped exploring outward.
Bao Yu "likes to mix in the inner veil", which is visible to the eye, but he is not only "happy to be mixed in the inner veil", he also yearns for the outside world. That is to say, although Baoyu is somewhat "obedient", he is basically a normal child. Just because the main ink of the Red Chamber is in the inner courtyard of Jia Fu, everything that happens outside is only a point to the end, which makes many readers have the illusion that Baoyu's daily life is basically in the inner courtyard of Jia Fu.
This is the author's deliberate cleverness, only by being good at peeking at the leopard from those points can we see the truth from the false.
When Bao Dai first saw it, Baoyu fell in love with Daiyu at first sight, and the reader thought that Daiyu was the weak water in Baoyu's heart. In fact, the same love at first sight also happened to Qin Zhong.
When Bao Dai first met, they had a sense of déjà vu. In contrast, Bao Yu and Qin Zhong first met, but they were self-decapitated and hated each other.
When that Baoyu saw Qin Zhong's character, he felt something lost in his heart. After being stupid for half a day, he was dumbfounded in his heart again, but he thought to himself, "There are such people in the world!" Now it seems that I have become a mud pig leper dog. I hate why I was born in this Houmen Gongfu family, if I was also born in the Hanmen Bo Eunuch Family, I would have befriended him long ago, and I would not have been born in vain. Although I am so more honorable than him, I know that Aya Brocade Sarong has only wrapped me in this dead wood, and the wine lamb has only filled the mud ditch of my dung cave. The word 'rich' was unexpectedly poisoned by me! Qin Zhong saw that Baoyu described himself as outstanding, his demeanor was extraordinary, and he was also a golden crown embroidered dress, and he was proud of his extravagant children, and Qin Zhong also thought to himself in his heart: "Sure enough, this Baoyu complains that everyone can't spoil him." I hate that I was born in a cold house, and I can't communicate with his ears, but I know that the word 'poor' is limited to people, and it is also a great unhappiness in the world. ”
For Baoyu's life, getting to know Qin Zhong is more significant than knowing Daiyu.
After getting to know Daiyu, Baoyu wanted to "mess around inside"; after getting to know Qin Zhong, Baoyu, who had always hated going to school, suddenly took the initiative to go to school.
In short, Baoyu after getting acquainted with Dai Yu was even more depraved, and Bao Yu after getting acquainted with Qin Zhong began to advance. If it weren't for the chaos in Jia Fu's academy, if it wasn't for the irresponsibility of Jia Dairu, who was the head of the division, perhaps Baoyu would have gone to the Tao.
If the appearance of Qin Zhong made Baoyu's eyes light up, then Jiang Yuhan was the person who made Baoyu admire for a long time. If it weren't for Jiang Yuhan, it would be easy to mistakenly think that Baoyu only loves people who grow up in his aesthetics. However, his admiration for Jiang Yuhan did not know what Jiang Yuhan's appearance was, so when Jiang Yuhan appeared in front of him, he did not know, only knew that Jiang Yuhan was a good man, so he asked Jiang Yuhan about the Qiguan he admired: "There is also a sentence to ask, there is also a person named Qiguan in your class, where is he?" So, what is the charm of Qi Guan that attracts Baoyu? It is not written in the book, we only know that since this encounter, the two have begun to have a deep friendship, so much so that Jiang Yuhan told Bao Yu about such a private matter as buying a field in Rosewood Fort.
The deep friendship with Jiang Yuhan is equally significant to Baoyu. In the book, it is written that Bao Yu was beaten by his father because of Jiang Yuhan, as if this was a person who was not suitable for communication. In fact, on the contrary, as a weak person living at the bottom, Jiang Yuhan has a very tenacious upward strength, which is exactly what Baoyu lacks. The "Yuhan" and "Qi" given by the author represent that this is a jade teenager with noble character. If Baoyu has been in a long-term relationship with him, he will absorb a lot of excellent qualities from him.
Of course, in addition to these two people, Baoyu's people who have a deep personal relationship outside include Liu Xianglian, Feng Ziying and Xue Pan, who all have qualities that Baoyu lacks.
It is these people who constitute the external world of Baoyu, and it is a completely different external world from the backyard of Jia Fu. If the backyard of Jia Fu is relatively pure and idealized, then the external world of Baoyu is very close to the world and real life.

Therefore, Baoyu did not really want to stay away from the "eyebrow turbidity" as he said, what he really wanted to stay away from was his responsibility as a man. That is to say, if he wants to associate with men outside as a serious matter, he resolutely refuses, such as his father asking him to go to Jia Yu Village and participate in his father's style bureau. However, if it is to participate in the social interaction of teenagers with a playful mentality, he is very willing. As a result, we saw that whether Xue Pan told him to go out or "Uncle Feng's family please", he went happily and had a lot of fun.
It can be said that rather than playing with Dai Yu at home, Bao Yu is more willing to go to the outside world. Therefore, it is written in the book that Baoyu was called out to participate in social activities twice, both after Baoyu and Daiyu had a conflict. Before he could coax Dai Yu to get right, he walked away without looking back, not considering Dai Yu's feelings at this time.
Dai Yu, who is "lonely and self-promising", is blinded by herself and does not know that Bao Yu has another face in the outside world.
"Lonely and self-promising", this is the author's evaluation of Daiyu. The more I read it, the more I felt that the author's pen was spicy. "Lonely high", standing alone on a high place, can be understood as a person is really too great, like a bully who has thrown the second place far. However, Daiyu's "lonely height" is "self-promised", that is, he thinks that he is very high, and in fact, it is difficult to say whether he is tall or not.
Daiyu's "lonely self-promise" is embodied in the very self, which is completely judged by self-awareness, which causes her to be blinded by the self. Therefore, the treasure jade in her eyes is only the treasure jade she thinks she thinks she is, not the real treasure jade.
At least, Dai Yu didn't know that Bao Yu had another face, and didn't know that Bao Yu was a different image in the outside world.
The most prominent performance was in the thirty-third time, Baoyu was severely reprimanded by his father, because the severity exceeded the usual, the attackers, Baochao, and Madame Wang all felt that things were abnormal, so they rushed to inquire about the reason for the beating, but Dai Yu did not feel any surprise at all, and thought that Baoyu was beaten because he refused to go up, so he cried and advised Baoyu: "You can change from now on!" ”

This is the manifestation of Daiyu's extreme ego: he has no idea what Baoyu is doing outside, and he draws conclusions entirely based on his own feelings.
Of course, the yin and yang difference between Baoyu and Daiyu, in addition to the asymmetry in information, there is also an asymmetry in energy.
Dai Yu is weak and sickly, and Bao Yu is full of energy, which dooms Dai Yu to be unable to play with Bao Yu the whole time, so Bao Yu needs the outside world to consume his excess energy. In this way, they are really a perfect match, and it is Daiyu's frailty and illness that has made Baoyu travel through the inner and outer worlds with two faces. And Daiyu's extreme self allows Baoyu to travel between the two worlds with ease.
It can be said that on a certain level, Dai Yu and Jia Mu are very similar. Jia Mu thought that she was on top and everyone would listen to her, so she never paid attention to what her children and grandchildren were doing, so that everyone was more yin and yang to her. Dai Yu also thought that she was on top and Bao Yu listened to her, so she never cared about what Bao Yu was doing when she left her, so that Bao Yu had two faces.
In fact, there is no difference between Baoyu and those stupid children, he pursues not elegance but wind and moon, and is deeply involved in the world.
Baoyu not only deceived Daiyu with two faces, but also deceived the majority of readers.
