Recently, according to overseas media reports, Ford has officially confirmed that the Toruneo Custom, known as "Toureo" in China, will launch a pure electric model, and the new car will be officially released on May 9. As can be seen from the official trailer images, the Tourneo Custom is only one of five pure electric models, the other four are the Courier model of Transit and Tourneo, and the Transit Custom and E-Transit. It is clear that the Courier is a smaller model than the Custom.
Although the Transit Custom and Tourneo Custom have traditionally been twin models based on the same chassis, it can be seen in the pictures that there are significant differences in the headlight design between the two. Ford officially confirmed that the new Tourneo Custom and Transit Custom will begin production in Turkey in 2023, while the smaller Courier model will not be available until 2024. In the future, we will continue to pay attention to whether the new Toruio electric version will be put into production in Jiangling Ford.
