According to reports, the EPA1 platform is compatible with a variety of power types, supporting pure electric, extended range and hydrogen electric version of the model. The first model based on this platform, the Changan C385, will also be officially mass-produced, and the C385 will also launch three models with different powers, namely pure electric version, extended range version and hydrogen electric version.

It is reported that Changan Automobile began to build the EPA1 platform in 2017, and after 5 years, the Changan new energy automobile team has built an all-electric platform EPA1 that is compatible with multiple power configurations, highly platformized and modular.

According to reports, EPA1 takes into account the future travel scenarios and the exclusive platform for pure electric drive of the whole track for today's car experience, and has the attributes of "four highs", namely the four attributes of high efficiency, high performance, high intelligence and high safety.
1. High efficiency
Deng Chenghao first proposed the concept of electrical efficiency, which reflects the comprehensive driving efficiency of the new energy power system. At present, the mainstream electrical efficiency of the industry is about 70% to 75%. Through a series of optimization measures, Changan New Energy can achieve an electrical efficiency of 78%, which is higher than the industry's optimal level.
In order to improve the system efficiency of the EPA1 platform, Changan New Energy has proposed a large number of original solutions from the three dimensions of electric drive system, extended range system and hydrogen fuel system.

2. High performance
Overall, the EPA1 platform is a performance platform that takes into account dual motors and four-wheel drives with a rear-drive approach. The maximum output of a single motor is 190 kW (about 258 hp), equipped with the first car C385, and the measured acceleration of 100 kilometers per 100 seconds is 5.9 seconds.

Through in-vehicle communication technologies such as Ethernet, the EPA1 platform optimizes the transmission bandwidth and processing speed between the various controllers. The vehicle control software can be optimized from the traditional OTA time to less than three minutes, basically realizing the senseless OTA.
