On April 15, the official website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the declaration map of GAC Toyota bZ4X, which is based on the EXCLUSIVE PLATFORM OF BEV of e-TNGA architecture and is the first model of the exclusive series of bZ pure electric. With a wheelbase of 2850mm, it will be a crossover medium-sized SUV, and the official special emphasis on its battery capacity retention rate and durability can achieve 90% battery capacity after 10 years. In addition, the new car will be equipped with a roof solar charging panel, which can provide the vehicle with 1800km of electricity per year. The new auto show car has now partially arrived at the GAC Toyota dealer showroom and is expected to be officially launched in 2022.

The bZ4X retains the basic prototype of the concept car, adopts the design language of the avant-garde, hammer-shaped shark-shaped front face, three-dimensional through-the rear taillights, stretching the dynamic body streamline, quite futuristic. In terms of body size, the new car has a length, width and height of 4690/1860/1650mm and a wheelbase of 2850mm. The charging connectors are located on both sides of the front fenders.

In addition, as a product of pure electric platform, bZ4X does not adopt Toyota blue background logo, and Toyota has not launched a new LOGO such as luminous car logo for electric vehicles.
In terms of energy consumption and endurance, GAC Toyota specifically explained the battery capacity retention rate and durability of the bZ4X, which is said to be able to maintain 90% of the battery capacity after 10 years. At the same time, it is also equipped with a roof solar charging panel, which can be used for 1800km of solar power supply during the year. In addition, the new car is also equipped with a special-shaped steering wheel and steer-by-wire system, a newly upgraded "TSS 3.0 Smart Travel Safety" auxiliary set, intelligent parking, rich voice recognition functions and so on.

In terms of power, GAC Toyota bZ4X will be available in both front-drive and four-wheel drive versions, of which the front-drive version will be equipped with a single motor with a maximum power of 150kW, and the four-wheel drive version will be equipped with a dual motor with a total output of 160kW, using the X-MODE four-wheel drive system jointly developed with SUBARU, and the newly developed "Grip-Control Intelligent Multi-Road Adaptation System".
