People always need a place to put their souls, and for me, museums are such a place.
Not long ago, the Dubai Museum of the Future, one of the 14 most beautiful museums on the planet, was officially opened to the public, and its cool and advanced appearance made MISS itch.
In addition to this, 4 blockbuster museums will meet us around the world this year. They are either the world's largest archaeological museum, or the art of design, or the Palace Museum's first collaborative project outside Chinese mainland.
Whether it's from the building itself or the collection inside, it's worth a special trip for them.

Grand Egyptian Museum
The largest archaeological museum in the world
After more than 20 years, the Grand Egyptian Museum is finally coming out in the second half of the year!
After all, to take over the 1881 Cairo Egyptian Museum, not to mention the collection, the new building itself has a lot of potential.
In the 2002 Architecture Competition, the organizers received 1,557 works from designers from 82 countries, making it the second largest architectural competition in history.
In the end, the architect heneghan Peng won the competition. The wrinkled irregular design and stable triangular shape form a linkage with the pyramid group not far away.
The entire museum is expected to house 100,000 artifacts, covering more than 3,000 years of ancient Egyptian history, and will also become the world's largest archaeological museum.
The complex includes a permanent exhibition hall with an area of 24,000 square meters, a heritage preservation center, a children's museum, an educational exhibition area, a conference area and a landscape garden.
There will be a space dedicated to the full collection of the Tomb of King Tutankhamun, displaying all 5,600 objects taken from the tomb of the pharaoh on an unprecedented scale.
What miss yearns for the most is a huge statue of Ramses II with a history of 3200 years.
The 82-ton statue was moved to the entrance of the museum in 2018, becoming the first artifact to be housed in the Great Egyptian Museum.
Although the opening of the museum has been delayed by a decade than expected, this Egyptian gift to the world is worth the wait.

The Palace Museum, Hong Kong
A new interpretation of Chinese culture
Also looking forward to MISS is the Palace Museum in Hong Kong, which is expected to open in the middle of the year.
Located in the West Kowloon Cultural District on the shores of Victoria Harbour, surrounded by the sea on three sides and adjacent to the newly promoted M+ Museum, the main body of the Palace Museum in Hong Kong is a 7-storey museum building that resembles an ancient Chinese vessel Fangding.
A large number of high-precision cantilever upside-down structures are used to form a clear-water concrete façade with an inclination of up to 1:3.
The interior design is inspired by the Forbidden City in Beijing, which is vertically progressive in the atrium space, and then connected by the vertical central axis to connect the different floors together, with a clear sense of layering.
With a total cost of HK$3.5 billion, the museum has nine exhibition halls, five of which will introduce the history and culture of the Forbidden City through the collection of treasures, and two thematic exhibition halls will showcase Hong Kong's art collections from all walks of life, as well as multimedia art.
The two exhibitions at the opening time made MISS the most anticipated.
First, about 900 exhibited cultural relics selected by the Palace Museum in Beijing for the Forbidden City in Hong Kong. Second, one of the opening blockbuster exhibitions, "The Art of the Horse", will take advantage of Hong Kong's special human, geographical and historical background to present about 300 artifacts of the Forbidden City related to horses, as well as more than 10 works from the collection of the Louvre museum in France.
If the Palace Museum in Beijing is a traditional building, the Hong Kong Palace Museum represents the modern side and is a repackaging and interpretation of traditional culture.
I believe that the cultural differences in the history of China and the West will also be able to create a better connection on this platform.

Art Gallery of New South Wales
A 150-year metamorphosis
Located in Sydney's The Domain, close to the Sydney Opera House, the Art Gallery of New South Wales is one of australia's largest public galleries.
Founded in 1871, the museum houses masterpieces by australian and international artists, both historical and contemporary, and features galleries dedicated to Aboriginal and Asian art.
The $344 million expansion transforms the old building into a two-building art museum with a new stand-alone building and a public art garden.
The expansion project, led by Pritzker laureate Kazuyo Sejima and Ritsue Nishizawa, is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
In the expansion, the designers visually connected the art gallery's outdoor garden space with the Sydney harbour in contrast to the existing 19th-century neoclassical architecture through transparent and open spatial forms.
The artworks on display in the expansion are mainly concentrated in the 21st century, and will focus on the works of local artists, while highlighting Australia's indigenous cultural heritage, while expressing concern and attention to contemporary art.
A former World War II decommissioned navy fuel tank on the site has also been transformed into a huge sunken art space, providing a space for the museum's collection of contemporary art works.
In addition to the functionality of the building itself, the Art Gallery of New South Wales is also the first art museum in Australia to receive the highest rating for sustainable design, which is of great significance.

Norwegian National Museum
Covers art, architecture and design
Located on Oslo's western waterfront, the Norwegian National Museum, which has been in preparation for eight years, has a lengthy name – the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design. However, it is a simple and crude indication of the nature of the collection, and after its opening, it will become the largest museum in the Nordic region.
The overall building was designed by German architects Kleihues + Schuwerk and can be roughly divided into two parts. The cleanly lined façade at the bottom is made of durable materials such as oak, bronze and marble, and is covered with a large amount of grey Norwegian schist.
At the top is a translucent volume, known as the "Hall of Light", and when night comes, the entire hall is illuminated by 9,000 LED energy-saving lamps, like a huge transparent lampshade.
The museum brings together the collections of three of Norway's most important art institutions– the former Industrial Gallery, the Museum of Contemporary Art and the National Gallery – under one roof.
From medieval Norwegian tapestries and ancient Chinese porcelain to 18th-century Norwegian glasses and contemporary art, more than 5,000 works of art will be on display.
The museum is divided into two floors. The first floor is mainly based on handicrafts, mainly showing the history of craftsmanship and design development over the past 3,000 years.
The second floor is dominated by painting art, including 17th-century Dutch landscape paintings and still lifes, 19th-century French Impressionist paintings, and important artists such as Manet, Monet, and Morisso. A version of the masterpiece "The Scream" by the famous Norwegian painter Edward Munch will also appear here.
Interestingly, although the museum is not yet open, curator Karin Heinzbo has made an exception to allow visitors to visit during the installation of the artwork. Once local public health restrictions are lifted, visitors can come and watch the artworks framing.
