Zodiac Zhou's writings are as strong as Ge Jisen's, which places great emphasis on the urgent habit of plucking the pen, and the structure is not expanded to see the pick, nor does it seek softness to figure out the charm. Zodiac Zhou (1585 -1646), Han Chinese, character Youxuan, a young ping or young yuan, also known as 螭若, 螭平, the number Shi Zhai, the world respected Mr. Shi Zhai. He was a scholar, calligrapher, painter, writer and national hero of the late Ming Dynasty. A native of Zhangpu County, Zhangzhou Prefecture, Fujian (present-day Tongling Town, Dongshan County, Fujian Province), his ancestral home was Putian, Fujian, and his great-grandfather migrated from Putian to Zhangzhou.
In the second year of the Apocalypse (1622), the thirty-eight-year-old Zodiac Zhou Jinshi was in the same department as Ni Yuanlu and Wang Duo. He successively served as the editor of the Hanlin of the Ming Dynasty, the shushi of the Jing feast exhibition, the scholar of the Chongzhen Dynasty Hanlin, and the shuguan of the Jing feast exhibition.

The famous theologian, scribe and calligrapher, when Xu Xiake counted the celebrities in the world, said that "zhiren is the only stone zhai, whose calligraphy and paintings are the first in the pavilion, the articles are the first in the national dynasty, the character is the first in Haiyu, and his learning is directly Zhou Kong, which is the first in ancient and modern times."
His calligraphy is good at calligraphy, calligraphy and cursive writing. His writing and cursive writing, the strokes of the pen are strong and powerful, the body is neat, and the style of writing is majestic and unrestrained. With strength and posture, it is the main tone of the cursive script of the zodiac.

His calligraphy mainly studied Zhong Xuan, which was more beautiful and ethereal than Zhong Xuan's ancient clumsiness.
Zodiac Zhou Shan Kai, Xing, Grass Books, and Gong Li Shu. His calligraphy, such as the "Filial Piety Scroll" and "Zhang Pu's Epitaph", has a square and nearly flat font, a strong penmanship, and a clumsy and simple style, which is very similar to the Zhong Xuan Kai method. The difference is that the Zhong Shu appears thick in the ancient clumsiness, while the Yellow Book is seen in Qing Jian, which can be seen under the influence of Wang Xi's Kai method.
His cursive writing, such as the "Five Words ancient poetry axis", roughly resembles the posture of his calligraphy, the strokes are turned and fangjian, the knots are colorful, and the simple style is also close to Zhong Xuan. His Lishu is characterized by "clean and charming", and is not as ancient and clean as the Kaishu. From the Zodiac Zhou Shu theory, it is reflected that he is more devoted to Wei and Jin calligraphy, especially for Zhong Xuan, Suo Jing and other calligraphy with a simple style of calligraphy, but not for its contemporary calligraphy, such as Dong Qichang's calligraphy.
In the late Ming Dynasty, Zodiac Zhou was a strong and powerful minister who "shook the world with sound, and loyalty and righteousness ran through ancient and modern times", a loyal and deadly man, and a generation of scholars who were knowledgeable and vast and did not know their end, and an outstanding calligrapher and painter who was good at writing, poetry, and painting.
