We're in an era where game exclusivity has become time-limited – now we can add bugsnax, the former PlayStation exclusive game, to other platforms. The game will be launched on Steam, Switch, and Xbox on April 28 along with the free DLC "The Isle of Bigsnax", along with XGP.
As one of the highlights of PS5's launch in late 2020 and included in PlayStation Plus, it was a high-profile game at the time. In the news confirming the release of the new platform, we saw that the game will include a major free update. The update adds 3-4 hours of additional content to Bigsnax.
The update will also add new side quests, letters, appearances, and more to Bugsnax.
In terms of Switch version porting, Young Horses Studios received help from Enduring Games. Both desktop and handheld modes are said to be targeting both 720p and 30fps, and the team says they're happy with the visual performance achieved.
In addition to the digital version, it has been confirmed that iam8bit will produce a special edition vinyl record that includes 25 tracks by composer Seth Parker.
