On April 10, the new BYD Han series was officially launched, the new car is divided into three series according to the power type, of which the EV Genesis edition has a total of 3 models, the price range after comprehensive subsidies is 269,800 to 288,600 yuan, in addition to a Qianshan Cui limited edition, priced at 329,800 yuan; DM-i version has a total of 4 models, the price range after comprehensive subsidies is 215,800 to 289,800 yuan; the final DM-p version has a total of 1 model, priced at 319,800 yuan. At this point, BYD's "Dynasty" series has finally achieved full coverage of DM-i.

At the same time, BYD also announced the listing rights of new cars, including a lifetime warranty for non-operating vehicles (the first owner), a replacement subsidy of 4,000 yuan, a free substitute car, free airport parking, a lifetime free charging pile installation for the first car owner, and a 2-year free vehicle traffic (5GB/month).
■ EV version: a more powerful new "big man"
Regarding the static introduction of the new Han EV, you can see the video analysis we made before, and here we will refine the differences between several new versions and the previous generation of Han EV in addition to the design shape.
The first is the fine adjustment of the size, the new BYD Han EV has a body length of 15mm compared with the previous version, while the width, height and wheelbase remain the same. So although the new man has become bigger, it is actually not very obvious from the shape of the body. However, on the other hand, the 4995mm car length can still enhance the competitiveness of the new Han EV in the same level of market.
The second is that the power has become stronger, especially its front motor, the maximum power is 180kW, the peak torque can reach 350Nm, compared with the previous generation of Han EV or significantly improved, and the dual-motor four-wheel drive version of the rear electric drive parameters have not changed, its comprehensive maximum output is 380kW, and the comprehensive peak torque can reach 700Nm.
The third is the growth of endurance, the new Han EV with 85.4kWh blade battery, CLTC comprehensive operating conditions under the cruising range of 610km and 715km, even the lowest level is to run farther than the previous generation of Han EV's ultra-long endurance version.
It is also worth noting that many medium and large pure electric cars with endurance capacity of 700km on the market at present have a battery capacity of between 90kWh and 100kWh, but the new Han EV only needs to be equipped with an 85.4kWh battery pack to achieve the same effect, and it has to be said that BYD still has deep technical reserves in the three-electric technology.
In the intelligent part, the new Han EV is mainly upgraded on the DiPilot intelligent driver assistance system, the new car will be equipped with 22 sensing elements, while adding high-speed road driving assistance, emergency avoidance assistance and other functions, can better provide accurate and efficient help for drivers.
In terms of intelligent cockpit, the new Han EV will be equipped with DiLink 4.0 intelligent network system as standard, as well as high-end configurations and functions such as 5G speed connection, dual-frequency positioning, four-tone area voice interaction, HiFi-level customized Danna audio, W-HUD head-up display, DMS fatigue driving early warning system, etc., while supporting the remote upgrade of the vehicle OTA.
In the new Han EV series, there is also a Qianshan Cui Limited Edition, which in addition to an exclusive emerald green color, also has exclusive configurations and interior and exterior kits such as high-end suede seats, sports interior kits, UWB digital keys, high-performance stone green four-piston pliers and so on. In terms of power, the power system of this model is the same as that of the regular Genesis version of the "610KM Four-Wheel Drive Premium".
■ How to choose the new Han EV?
Of the four models, which version of the new Han EV has the best price/performance ratio? First of all, from the perspective of the power part, the new Han EV can be seen as having two single-motor front-drive models, and dual-motor four-wheel drive models, so if consumers who have demand for four-wheel drive systems, they can only choose from the "610KM four-wheel drive premium type" of 288,600 yuan, and if there are higher requirements for battery life, I think the "715KM honorable type" is completely enough.
Because as the basic model of the new Han EV, its configuration itself is already rich enough, in terms of quality and experience can meet most of the daily needs, and even a little surprise.
Of course, the entry level is not the most comprehensive in terms of intelligent driving assistance, if there are higher requirements for this part of the configuration, I recommend choosing the "715KM flagship type", because it is not much different from the "four-wheel drive premium type" in the driver assistance configuration, and in terms of price, it is only 17,700 yuan more expensive than the entry-level, which is still more cost-effective.
■ DM-i/p version: the strongest "Han"
Regarding the static introduction of the new Han DM-i, you can click on the video to analyze and watch. As for the DM-p version, it has no obvious difference from the new Han DM-i version in the exterior interior design, but it has been improved in terms of power performance, and it is also the most powerful version of the new Han system.
The power system of the new Han DM-i/p version consists of a high-efficiency turbocharged 1.5Ti engine and a drive motor, with a maximum engine power of 102kW and a peak torque of 231Nm; in the drive motor part, the DM-i version will be equipped with a front-mounted single motor and has two parameter versions, while the DM-p version is equipped with dual motors front and rear.
If we simply superimpose the parameters of the DM-p version of the drive motor, it is concluded that its comprehensive maximum power is 360kW and the peak torque is 675Nm, which is very close to the performance of the strongest version of the previous generation of Han EV, plus an efficient engine, the performance can be imagined, no wonder the 100 km acceleration only takes 3.7s.
In addition, in terms of endurance and fuel consumption, the new Han DM-i version has a fuel consumption of 4.2L to 4.5L for 100 kilometers under NEDC conditions, a comprehensive cruising range of up to 1300km, and a maximum pure electric endurance of 242km; while the DM-p version has a pure electric endurance of 206km under NEDC conditions and a fuel consumption of 5.2L for 100 km of power loss.
Interestingly, although the new Han DM-i/p is equipped with a relatively more complex insertion and mixing system, especially an engine, in terms of size, these two models are 5mm shorter than the previous generation of Han EV, but other parameters have not changed, and the wheelbase is also 2920mm.
In terms of configuration, the new Han DM-i/p version is equipped with a more intelligent DiPilot intelligent driver assistance system at the same level as the EV version, as well as a wealth of intelligent, comfortable and convenient configurations and functions.
■ How to choose the new Han DM-i/p?
In terms of purchase, we see that the new Han DM-i version is all front-drive, and dm-p is four-wheel drive, so there is only one option that loves four-drive system. In the DM-i version, the "242KM flagship" priced at 289,800 yuan is the most powerful and the longest pure electric endurance, if you pursue travel capabilities, it is recommended to choose this.
If you consider from the configuration, first of all, in the intelligent driver assistance part, we see that the most complete number of sensors and auxiliary functions are the "242KM flagship" and DM-p version, so if the requirements for this part of the configuration are higher, the "242KM flagship" is more cost-effective.
If you consider the safety and comfort and convenience of the configuration, in fact, the new Han DM-i series of functions are already very comprehensive, if you want a higher-end configuration, I recommend starting from the "121KM honorable type" priced at 225,800 yuan, because there are many "flagship" on the same configuration, but the difference is at least 64,000 yuan.
■ Bang reviews
Overall, the timing of BYD's launch of the new Han series is very good, on the one hand, because there are many heavy products of the same type delivered or listed recently, this market segment has become one of the key points of attention inside and outside the industry, at this time it is easy to get better communication results; on the other hand, it is the time period when the brand announces sales and deliveries at the beginning of the month, BYD's production and sales data in March are performing well, showing excellent brand health, and at the same time boosting confidence for many consumers who plan to buy BYD models. I believe it can also help the new Han series to get more orders.
As for the specific model competitiveness, I think that HanEV, as the first "veteran" to enter the medium and large pure electric car market, has kept up with the pace of market evolution in time after this update, rejuvenated with new vitality, and maintained strong competitiveness.
The new Han DM-i/p series actually has no specific competitors in the strict sense, and the medium and large plug-in hybrid cars on the same track are basically more than 500,000 BBA brands, such as BMW 5 Series plug-in hybrid, Volvo S90 RECHARGE and so on. Therefore, the new Han DM-i/p series will get more market opportunities, and sales can be expected.
