Among the joint venture car companies, GAC Toyota has also performed relatively gratifyingly under the aura of Japanese cars.

Throughout March, GAC Toyota's cumulative sales reached 97,006 units, up 41% year-on-year. From January to March, affected by the Spring Festival holiday, the total number reached 247,006 vehicles, but the year-on-year increase of 23.4% really outperformed the entire market.

For GAC Toyota, the market has always been cautious, and some people will constantly throw out the question of "whether such a situation can be sustained". However, in just two years, from the overall performance of GAC Toyota, in addition to seeing the trend of its sales increase, the orderly laying out of GAC Toyota's entire product system and the rationalization of new channels are also obvious to all.

Especially in the planning of the product line, GAC Toyota has set a good example for the grasp of market segments and the improvement of the value of existing models. Here, it is not to interpret Toyota's brand aura more, from the series of operations of GAC Toyota, what the outside world needs to see is that under the premise that the electrification process is blocked, a joint venture brand can do the upgrading measures.

Taking the data of the first quarter, the Camry's March sales were 27,211 units, an increase of 78.9% year-on-year, and while significantly abandoning the core competitors such as accord and Passat, its total growth in the first quarter was 73.3% year-on-year, reaching 68,904 units, and its appearance in the mid-level sedan market is obviously very three-dimensional. The same is true for Highlander, which sold 7,622 vehicles in March and more than 25,000 units in the first quarter, leading the domestic camp of medium and large SUVs.

You know, as the two grow upwards in such a way, we must understand that as part of Toyota's dual-vehicle strategy. Camry and Highlander have entered the stage of head-on confrontation with FAW Toyota Asia Dragon and Crown Lufang. For GAC Toyota, the challenge is undoubtedly enormous.

Therefore, if the two can maintain a certain advantage in their own market segments so far, they must be able to see the better side of GAC Toyota in the entire system construction. It is precisely because of this that with the successful experience of GAC Toyota in value marketing, it is grafted from Camry and Highlander to Veranda, and the results are presumably expected.

Veranda sold 14,344 units in March, up 39.2% year-over-year and 37,928 units in the first quarter, up 33.6% year-on-year. Although this achievement is still a certain distance from the mark of 20,000 vehicles per month, the gains and losses are clear in view of the fact that the price of the Veranda terminal is still high.

We have always mentioned that GAC Toyota's grasp of the market segment is relatively in place. The emergence of C-HR and Veranda was based on this reason. Then, following the Sena, Fenglanda and Weisa, which have been listed since the end of last year, I think the follow-up performance of these models will most likely be better.

According to official data, after delivering more than 5,000 vehicles in the first full sales month during this year's New Year's Day, Xena not only set a new sales record of 6,319 units in the past March, but its cumulative sales in the entire first quarter also jumped to 15,000 units.

In addition, from the sales of the model configuration, the sales of the platinum version of the 405,800 yuan platinum version of the Xena top accounted for nearly 40%, and the sales of more than 350,000 versions accounted for nearly 90%.

As a major target of the entry-level SUV market, Fenglanda also sold 7,138 units in March. As for Weisa, due to the fact that the model has just entered the product delivery period, GAC Toyota officially did not give specific sales data.

Admittedly, in just a few months, we can't make too many concrete or completely trend-oriented judgments about the future performance of these new cars.

In the future, in their respective fields, there may be more competitive opponents, just like the current Sai Na will worry about the entry of Lantu Dreamers, GAC Toyota will have to deal with it. On the other hand, the drastic industrial changes of China's new energy will also make it cautious in the introduction of bZ4X.

But still that sentence, GAC Toyota's platooning of major market segments is orderly. In the absence of signs of internal friction, all newly launched models have their own "job". As long as it can continue the current development trend and maintain its own market share, GAC Toyota will still be at a high position in the queue of joint venture brands.
