The reasons why BYD fuel vehicles are not selling well are mainly two:

2, the industry competition is too serious, ordinary family car internal combustion engine market profit thin sales pressure is huge, BYD internal combustion engine is indeed not strong enough.
With the rapid rise of the new energy industry, the market consumption concept has changed significantly, while BYD's own technical reserves are strong, in the case of chip shortage and surge in battery costs, the giant posture is becoming more and more obvious.
In 2021, BYD sold 730,000 passenger cars and 590,000 new energy vehicles, accounting for nearly 81% of new energy sales. In March this year, BYD's passenger car sales reached 104,000 units, and the proportion of fuel vehicle sales was almost zero.
Obviously, the market's recognition of BYD new energy is extremely strong, based on this, BYD began to fully cede the internal combustion engine.
According to Wang Chuanfu's previous inference, BYD's new energy vehicle sales will reach the order of 3 million, according to the sales in March this year, BYD's new energy model sales will reach 1.2 million.
This is based on BYD's non-release of production capacity, do not launch more models, in fact, BYD has also planned more strong models this year, the Ocean series and the Dynasty series will have more pure electric and hybrid models, which means that in the case of ensuring the smooth operation of production capacity, comprehensive sales will even exceed the order of 1.2 million.
Industry insiders analyze that although BYD's 3 million units of sales are only strategic data, but BYD will soon enter the first echelon is an undeniable fact, from the current sales volume of Chinese passenger car companies and plate division, there are only three million sales companies, Great Wall, Geely, Chang'an.
Although BYD only completed 730,000 vehicle sales last year, it will smoothly enter the million market this year according to the increase, and at the same time, it will stand in a new market with millions of new energy sales.
Last year, Tesla completed 930,000 new energy sales, the world showed two major characteristics of product concentration, market decentralization, Model 3 and Model Y two models of strong operating market, this year Tesla started a European gigafactory, which means that Tesla in Shanghai, the United States after the third gigafactory will pull the production capacity to 1.5 million.
Since then, there will be two real millions of new energy giants in the global market, one is Tesla and the other is BYD.
