Regarding the reason for the recall, the announcement explains that due to the insufficient verification of the riveting manufacturing process, the tailgate strut support and the ball head riveting of the vehicle within the scope of the recall may be broken, resulting in the tailgate cannot be kept open, and the tailgate may collide with the user when it falls, which is a safety hazard.

Since the recall, Dongfeng Honda also gave a specific solution, saying that it will replace the improved tailgate strut bracket assembly for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge to eliminate safety hazards. As for whether the problem can be completely solved, it is necessary to wait until the tailgate strut bracket is replaced, and the user can see the effect after using it for a period of time.
The new Dongfeng Honda Alexand was launched nationwide on December 30, 2021, and a total of four models were launched with a price range of 279,800 to 331,800 yuan.
