AMD's new R3 5125C processor exposure: 4 cores 3GHz

IT House April 3 news, in 2020, AMD launched the Ryzen™ 3000C series processors, designed for Chromebooks. Now, the R3 5125C processor has been exposed on Geekbench, upgraded to zen3 architecture, and a new Chromebook is expected to be installed soon.

As shown in the figure above, the R3 5125C processor is a 4-core specification with a clock of 3Ghz and 8MB L3 cache. For comparison, the R3 5400U for the Windows platform is 4 cores, 8 threads, 2.6-4GHz.

IT House has reported that in September 2020, AMD launched a new athlon processor for ChromeBook products, using a Zen+ architecture with 12nm process and up to 4 cores and 8 threads. The highest specification Ryzen 7 3700C, 4 cores and 8 threads, TDP of 15W, Vega 10 core display; Ryzen 5 3500C is also 4 cores 8 threads, Vega 8 core display. The lowest spec Ryzen 3 3250C uses a 14nm Zen architecture with dual cores and four threads.

In contrast, the latest Ryzen™ 5000C series processors have a huge performance boost and will provide even higher performance for Chromebooks.
