A few days ago, Lenovo released a new flip-up Flex 5i Chromebook, equipped with a 14-inch Full HD touch screen, 360-degree hinge, which can be used in tablet, tent or stand-up three modes. In terms of performance, the Lenovo Flex 5i Chromebook is equipped with the intel core i5-1235U Alder Lake processor, 8GB LPDDR4X memory and 512GB SSD.
In addition, it offers Pentium 8505 and Core i3-1215U processor options down to 4GB of RAM, and 64GB or 128GB of eMMC storage.
Regardless of the processor, the flipbook is equipped with a 1080P screen, support for WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.0, stereo 2W speakers, backlit keyboard, fingerprint reader.
Two Type-C ports are also available with USB, HDMI, 3.5mm headphones and Micro SD.
It's important to note that it's not running Window, it's Chrome OS. While Chromebooks have long been known as cheap laptops with entry-level specs, Chrome OS itself has become more powerful as an operating system.
The Flex 5i Chromebook is expected to hit the market in June and starts at around $500.
Lenovo also has a cheaper Chromebook Flex 3i that will be available in May and will cost more than $400 (about 2525 yuan), but the model comes with a 15.6-inch display and An Intel Jasper Lake processor.
