On 21 April, the all-new generation range Rover was officially launched in the Chinese market, launching four extended wheelbase models priced from 1.4680-249.80 million yuan, and the first introduction of the Shengshi seven-seat extended version as the entry model of the entire series. The new car is based on the new MLA-FLEX architecture, and the exterior interior and power have been fully upgraded.
The new car still inherits the classic exterior design, the iconic grille is connected to the headlights, and the new mid-mesh style looks cleaner, with chrome decoration, it looks very delicate. The new through-the-wall front bracket incorporates LED daytime running lights, but also integrates sensors such as radar, adding a wildness to the new car.
The side lines are very smooth and dynamic, the whole series adopts a hidden door handle design, the front and rear fenders are wide out of the body to form a wide body effect, with a large size full-density strip spoke wheel, so that the aura of the whole vehicle has been well improved.
The design element of the tail is minimalist, and the longitudinal taillight group plus the turn signal group hidden in the decorative strip add a mysterious atmosphere to the new generation of Range Rover. It is worth mentioning that the trunk and rear surround are outlined with a large number of layered hard lines, coupled with a hidden exhaust pipe design, creating a simple and clean feeling.
Entering the car, the first thing that catches the eye is a 13.7-inch Pivi Pro HD curved touch screen, which has built in the latest InControl OS 2.0 infotainment system and Amazon Alexa intelligent voice interaction system, all control is achieved by voice and touch screen, providing a more convenient human-computer interaction experience.
In terms of seating, the new Range Rover has raised the upholstery on both sides, improved shoulder support structure, and equipped with electric armrests and privacy curtains to further enhance comfort. The rear of the new car also fills up the luxury attributes, introducing a four-seater version of the first-class feel, while the new rear entertainment system consists of two 11.4-inch high-definition touch screens mounted on the front seat backrest with adjustable angles.
As the first model to be built in the MLA-Flex luxury electrified architecture, the all-new Range Rover has more than 50 electronic control units and supports software online upgrade technology. Powered, the all-new Range Rover offers a variety of power options, with a 3.0T in-line six-cylinder engine + 48V mixing system and a 4.4T V8 twin-turbo engine.
Among them, the P530 model with a 4.4T twin-turbo V8 engine has a maximum power of 530 horsepower; the low-power P360 model with a 3.0T inline six-cylinder engine + 48V has a maximum power of 360 horsepower; the high-power P400 model has a maximum power of 400 horsepower, and the transmission is matched with an 8-speed automatic transmission, equipped with advanced dynamic response system and intelligent all-wheel drive system.
