Redefining the "new standard" of smart cockpits.

With the intelligent automobile industry becoming the outlet of the times, the "smart cockpit" in the car has become the "third living space" after the traditional home and office scenarios, and various intelligent interactions and intelligent services have been launched successively, which has also allowed the intelligent cockpit to complete the transformation from function to intelligence, and will rely on the application and service ecology to derive broader development prospects.

However, from another direction, the definition standards of "smart cockpit" by existing car companies are different, and the configuration data is too complex, so our goal is to simplify the complexity, refuse to limit to the current existing models, but develop a new standard for the intelligent cockpit industry that is truly "useful, easy to use, and applicable".

For an intelligent terminal that can "hold a certificate", hardware is the foundation, interaction ability (system) is the key to user dependence, and application ecology is a diversified experience upgrade. This principle also applies to the intelligent cockpit, based on this we launched the "Digital Intelligence + ICBT-100 Intelligent Cockpit Evaluation Standard", focusing on intelligent hardware, interaction capabilities, application ecology three categories, while for each category is divided into data + experience two dimensions, and subdivided into more than 30 projects for scoring, to see how the smart car machine we use every day is.

Smart hardware

In the intelligent hardware project, we will focus on the three aspects of the screen, basic hardware, and expansion interface, which is also the most intuitive with our daily use.

The specific screen scoring category contains 7 items, namely: 1. Size, 2. Color, 3. Brightness, 4. Resolution (display fineness), 5. Temperature control, 6. Outer screen material/hardness, 7. Viewing angle, these parameters directly affect the user's visual perception, after all, a good screen can really "nourish the eyes", while higher brightness can also make the car always maintain visibility in high-light environments.

The basic hardware includes: 1. processor, 2. memory, which represents the basic computing power of the car machine running, although most of the car machine is currently using no Caton, but with the continuous OTA increase in functions, the new version of the system can run smoothly, good hardware can play a decisive role.

The expansion interface is well understood, mainly to see the USB interface type of the car machine, 4G/5G communication module, although the proportion in the scoring system is not high, but it is also a test item that cannot be ignored.

There is a saying in the IT world: "No matter how good the hardware, without system optimization, it is futile", which reflects the importance of the system. At the same time, the interactive interface is not only the most direct contact between the owner and the car, but also the excellent logic can directly improve the user experience of the entire cockpit, so in this intelligent cockpit test, the vehicle-machine interaction ability occupies a large part.

In this column we divide into three dimensions: system, voice, and others. The system scoring category includes: 1. System Logic, 2. UI Design, 3. Touch response, with excellent and easy-to-use system logic that greatly reduces user learning costs, is the icing on the cake with a beautiful UI and rapid touch response.

With the iterative update of AI voice technology, the on-board voice system has become an indispensable configuration of the intelligent cockpit, so in the voice scoring system, we have subdivided 4 items: 1. Control range, 2. Advanced Features, 3. Recognition rate, 4. The degree of emotion, it is worth mentioning that the "degree of emotion" added for the first time can well reflect whether the speech system is truly intelligent, rather than simple AI synthesis.

And under other broad categories, there will be a difference between 1. Remote control, 2. Biometrics, 3. Camera system, 4. Navigation system, 4 details for more detailed functional testing, so as to further improve the interactive experience of the entire intelligent cockpit.

Application ecology

But through the phenomenon to see the essence, we will find that to achieve a truly intelligent cockpit, it is not only dependent on the car system itself, but to join a richer application ecology, after all, there is not enough application ecology, the system itself does not have much value, which is connected with the current hot IT industry.

For car companies, it is also necessary to lay a solid foundation for building an application ecology as soon as possible, otherwise, it will be at a disadvantage in the follow-up competition. That's why the car doesn't seem important, but everyone wants to eat this cake.

Therefore, in this part, we also attach importance to the combination of the existing highest standards of intelligence and the judgment of future industry trends, to carry out more demanding redundant projects, which mainly include: 1. OTA upgrades, 2. Audio and Video Resources, 3. Entertainment game experience, 4. Expanding functions (HUD, personalized mode, etc.), the scoring criteria are based on the average level of the current intelligent car, which belongs to the advanced needs of intelligent subdivision.

As we all know, with the improvement of the level of intelligence of the car, the significant change of the intelligent cockpit is from passive interaction (initiated by people) to active interaction (both people or machines can initiate), and the way to obtain content and services has increased, so the car-machine system needs a more active, natural and emotional experience to further meet the needs of occupants for cockpit infotainment and work activities.

At the same time, the definition brought by the rich cockpit data is also more complex, and our intelligent cockpit evaluation standard is to explore a meaningful and practical intelligent experience for consumers, to formulate it scientifically, and hope to help car companies from the source of product design to fully consider the product definition and function definition of the intelligent cockpit from the perspective of user experience, to avoid some low-level errors, such as input and output are not proportional, there is no experience of technology, and finally redefine the full-scenario experience of the intelligent cockpit.
