BEIJING, March 31 (Xinhua) -- The 6th International Conference on The Development of Innovation and Emerging Industries (IEID), co-sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Shanghai Municipal Government and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, was held online and offline in Beijing and Shanghai on the 31st. The conference focused on the frontier of engineering science and technology development and the hot spots of emerging industry development, and invited Chinese and foreign experts and scholars to conduct open interactive exchanges around the theme of "scientific and technological innovation leads the development of emerging industries" and talk about new opportunities for global scientific and technological innovation.
Li Xiaohong, president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Zhang Wei, vice mayor of Shanghai, and Xin Guobin, vice minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, delivered speeches at the opening ceremony of the meeting.
