Speaking of the prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, Zhong Nanshan said that the key issue in the prevention and control of the new crown epidemic is to minimize the transmission and case fatality rate.
Due to the mild symptoms of infection of the Omiljun strain and the relatively low case fatality rate compared with previously circulated strains, some countries have promoted the so-called "coexistence with the virus". Zhong Nanshan said in light of the current epidemic situation that although the Omicron strain has a low case fatality rate, it has strong transmission power and will still take many lives if it occurs on a large scale. "So at present, it is not applicable to China's complete opening up, and for China, it is still necessary to adhere to dynamic zeroing and gradually open up."
Xenophages are recommended as a sequential vaccination
Regarding vaccination, Zhong Nanshan said that through the analysis of the immunogenicity of the vaccine in the laboratory, after two doses of inactivated vaccine, a different vaccine was used, and its serum neutralization antibody level and specific CD4+ (RBD polypeptide library stimulation) activity were higher than those of three inactivated vaccines. In line with the mainland's "dynamic zeroing" strategy of reducing not only severe and mortality rates, but also infection rates, the use of xenophragm vaccines is recommended as a sequential vaccination.
