On April 15, the Chinese Embassy in the United States said that since April 22, local time, a series of adjustments have been made to the pre-boarding testing of personnel departing from the United States to China, and the last nucleic acid testing time limit in the "double nucleic acid test" or "nucleic acid antibody double test" has been adjusted from 48 hours before boarding to 24 hours, and another antigen test must be carried out within 12 hours before boarding.

On April 12, the Chinese Embassy in Niger updated the testing regulations for going to China, specifically: since April 18, local time, those who have completed the vaccination need to undergo two nasopharyngeal swab nucleic acid tests at the embassy's designated testing institution within 48 hours before boarding (previously within 72 hours before boarding). The first test is within 48 hours of boarding and the second test is within 12 hours of boarding (previously within 48 hours of boarding). The interval between the two tests is more than 24 hours.

Those who have not completed vaccination (including those who have not been vaccinated, those who have not completed the full vaccination and those who have received two doses of vaccine on the same day) need to undergo 1 nucleic acid and 1 serum antibody IgG and IgM test at the testing institution designated by the embassy within 48 hours before boarding (previously within 72 hours before boarding), and 1 nucleic acid test at the nucleic acid testing institution designated by the embassy within 12 hours before boarding (previously within 48 hours before boarding). If the above two categories of personnel are indeed unable to complete the nucleic acid test within 12 hours before boarding, the sampling time limit will be relaxed to 24 hours, but a rapid antigen test within 12 hours before boarding must be added to the testing institution designated by the Embassy in Niger.

In terms of the issuance of health codes, some embassies have said that they will no longer issue green health codes, but will instead issue blue health codes, which has a certain difference between the two. According to the information on the "Epidemic Prevention Health Code International Edition" Mini Program, those who hold a green health code can take the flight within the validity period of the green health code if they have met the conditions for boarding from the perspective of the health code. Those who have obtained a blue health code must board the aircraft with both the blue health code and the certificate of the last negative test result.

According to the Chinese Embassy in the United States, since April 22, local time, personnel going to China from the United States will submit test certificates to the embassies and consulates in the United States for review, and after passing, they will receive a blue health code, and those going to China will board the plane with the blue health code and antigen test report within 12 hours. The green health code continues to exist, but under normal circumstances, embassies and consulates in the United States do not issue green health codes, and passengers who have obtained green health codes can board with green health codes.

The Chinese Embassy in the UNITED Arab Emirates said that since April 14, local time, the Chinese Embassy in the United Arab Emirates will no longer issue green health codes for qualified personnel who have "pre-audited" health codes, but will instead issue blue health codes. Personnel visiting China can check in with the blue health code and relevant test reports issued by the embassy (nucleic acid test results 48 hours before departure and 12 hours before departure). If the nucleic acid test results of personnel visiting China within 12 hours are abnormal, the Embassy will cancel their blue health code.

The Chinese Embassy in Singapore said that due to time constraints, the embassy can not check the antigen test certificate within 6 hours before boarding, in order to remind the airline to check the relevant materials before boarding, the embassy in Singapore will issue a blue health code for those who need to undergo antigen testing at the airport from April 20 local time, and the personnel going to China will check in with the blue health code and the negative antigen test certificate.

In addition, there are also some new regulations for those transiting to China.

Since April 18, local time, the Chinese Embassy in Finland will no longer issue health codes or health declaration QR codes for persons transiting to China through a third country from Finland, nor will it issue health codes or health status declaration QR codes for those who originate from direct flights to China. If there is no direct flight to China in the country of origin, the person who is transferring to Finland to take a flight to China is required to hold a valid residence certificate of the country of origin, conduct testing in the country of origin and Finland, and apply for a health code/health declaration QR code at the Chinese Embassy in the country of origin and the Chinese Embassy in Finland.

The global COVID-19 epidemic situation is grim, international travel is still facing a high risk of infection, it is recommended that the majority of overseas Chinese still adhere to the principle of "non-essential, non-emergency, no travel" and reduce going out. Xiaoqiao reminds those who have plans to go to China that they must arrange pre-departure testing, apply for health codes and other matters in advance in accordance with the relevant regulations announced by the local Chinese embassy (consulate), and take protective measures on the way to China afterwards to reduce the risk of infection.
