On March 24, Toyota's first pure electric SUV model bZ4X was officially released in China, and the new car was positioned as a compact SUV, built based on Toyota's e-TNGA architecture. The domestic version will be handed over to FAW Toyota and is expected to be officially put into production in June this year.

From the appearance point of view, the domestic version of toyota bZ4X and the previously released overseas version of the model is not much different. As Toyota's first pure electric SUV, its design is significantly different from other Toyota SUVs in the past. The front face of the car adopts a new "hammerhead shark" look, which may also be the signature design of future Toyota pure electric models. The car adopts the closed grille commonly found in the current pure electric car, and the headlights also choose the popular flat layout, which has a good recognition. From the side, the car's front and rear wheel fenders have been added with a contrast design, with 18-inch rollers, which has a good look and feel. The new car is 4690mm/1860mm/1650mm in length, width and height, and thanks to the unique layout of the e-TNGA's proprietary architecture, the bZ4X has a wheelbase of 2850mm, which can bring space comparable to the interior space of mid-size SUVs.
Compared to most current Toyota models, the new car has undergone earth-shaking changes in the interior layout. Like the mainstream pure electric model, Toyota bZ4X is equipped with a large-size central control screen, and also provides an "embedded" LCD dashboard, which has made great progress in the sense of science and technology. In terms of configuration, the car provides L2 level driving assistance, panoramic image, automatic parking, X MODE off-road function and other rich configurations, it is worth noting that the high-end version of the model will also be equipped with a similar special-shaped steering wheel to the Tesla Model S Plaid version, which looks very cool.

In terms of power, FAW Toyota bZ4X will provide two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions of two different power combinations, of which the former has a maximum power of 150kW and a maximum cruising range of 500km, while the latter has a maximum power of 160kW and a maximum cruising range of 460km.
