How is the expected date of birth calculated for IVF?

The expected date of naturally pregnant babies is calculated according to the last menstrual period, so how to calculate the expected date of IVF?

The expected date of delivery for IVF is calculated as follows:

Month = month of the date of embryo transfer - 3;

Number of days = number of days on the date of embryo transfer - 10 (day 3 of embryo transfer) or 12 (day 5 of embryo transfer)

If the month ≤ 3, then the month first increases by 12 and then subtracts 3; if the month > 3, the year regresses to the following year.

If the number of days ≤ 10, borrow 1 month from the month, i.e. add 30 days.

How is the expected date of birth calculated for IVF?

Example 1: On January 1, 2022, the 5th day of embryo transfer, the expected date of delivery algorithm is as follows:

Month plus 12 is 1 + 12 = 13, and the number of days 1, you need to borrow 1 month from the month, that is, 30 days, then the number of days becomes 1 + 30 = 31, and the month borrows 1 and there is 12 left. Then, the expected date of delivery month is 12-3 =9, the number of days is 31-12 =19, and the expected date of delivery is September 19, 2022.

Listing 2: Day 3 embryo transfer on June 15, 2021, the expected date of delivery algorithm is as follows:

Month 6-3=3, number of days 15-10=5, year regress to the following year, and the expected date of delivery is March 5, 2022.

How is the expected date of birth calculated for IVF?

Need to remind everyone: IVF babies and natural pregnancy of the baby, born in the expected period of 2 weeks before and after the expected date, are calculated within the expected date of delivery, the expected date of delivery is not the exact date of delivery, scientists have counted only about 5% of women in the expected date of delivery.
