Apple ended its first product event of the year. It focuses on the new iPhone, updates to the iPad Air, and the latest and most powerful Mac chips that will debut on the new Mac Studio computers.

Apple brings a staggering number of products and updates, including the most unexpected Mac Studio and Studio Display. I've put together all the announcements for Apple's Spring Hardware Event.

New colors for iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro

What are the highlights of Apple's spring conference?

Apple has added two new colors to its iPhone. "Green" iPhone 13 and "Alpine Green" iPhone 13 Pro. Reservations will be accepted from 18 March.

The iPhone SE comes with Apple's latest A15 Bionic processor and the same old design, with a home button. This affordable iPhone comes not only with the latest chips, but also with the stiffest glass like the company's other mobile devices, plus it's IP67 waterproof and dustproof.

With the new chip, the new iPhone SE also supports 5G connectivity. The 12MP camera has also been updated with Deep Fusion to capture images with significantly better texture, detail, and noise reduction in low-light conditions. The iPhone SE will be available on March 18.

New iPad Ai

The iPad Air is expected to come with the A15 Bionic's new chip, but Apple is leapfrogging and installing the M1 on it. According to Apple, the M1 is 60% faster than the A14 and graphics 2 times faster than the A14. Apple also boldly claimed that the iPad Air was 2 times faster than any Windows laptop in its price range, and even showcased its latest tablet running Apex Legends.

The display has also been upgraded to liquid Retina, so it has 500 nits of brightness and HDR, but there is no mention of ProMotion 120Hz support. Those who use iPad for video calls will appreciate the new 12-megapixel ultra-wide front camera, which has center stage capabilities to keep you on screen. Released March 18.

Mac Studio computer with the new M1 Ultra chip

What are the highlights of Apple's spring conference?

From the outside, it looks like a super-tall Mac Mini. It has two fans inside that draw cold air from the bottom and drain the heat from the back. It also has a range of ports, including two USB-C and an SD card reader on the front, as well as HDMI, USB-A, Ethernet, and even more USB-C on the back.

Equipped with only the M1 Max processor, Apple claims it's 50% faster than the 16-core Xeon Mac Pro. Then use the M1 Ultra, which is said to be 60% faster than the 28-core Xeon Mac Pro. Even with all this power, Mac Studio apparently consumes 1,000 kWh less energy than a PC desktop in a year's time.

27-inch Studio Display display

Studio Display, its latest computer display, is on par with Mac Studio. It has a nearly bezel-less 27-inch display with 5K resolution and 218 pixels per inch. It also offers 600 nits of brightness, TrueTone, anti-reflective coating and six speakers, including four woofers and two tweeters.

Interestingly, the display also has an A13 processor built in, which is only used to power the center stage experience with a built-in 12 megapixel front camera. You'll also find three USB-C ports and a Thunderbolt port that delivers 96w of power, enough to charge most MacBook Pros.
