It seems that the pre-sale of new energy vehicles has seriously hindered commercial performance, and consumers cannot obtain their own goods in the contract time.

Previously, Weilai also encountered a delay in delivery, but it was settled by giving users compensation points; Tesla also compensated users for 180 days of EAP function permissions, although the scolding was loud.

New energy vehicle companies, the usual pre-sale method, has seriously hindered the consumer experience, and manufacturers in this situation, generally use the contract to bully consumers, because these car manufacturers will write in the relevant terms of the sales agreement, the expected delivery date is only an estimated time, does not constitute a guarantee of the actual delivery of the vehicle time.

If you do everything, you can't count the contracts that are full of pits.

No car to play what pre-sale?

Nowadays, under the Weibo of He Xiaopeng, chairman of Xiaopeng Automobile, the most side-around thing is that many users have left messages asking about the delivery of Xiaopeng P5 460, indicating that the next booking has not mentioned the car for up to 4 months.

This is not an isolated case.

Since the beginning of 2022, for more than two months, Xiaopeng Automobile has not delivered the P5 model on the prescribed date, and the number of complaints on the official website of Black Cat Complaint has exceeded 100 times.

This phenomenon has been going on for a long time. In December 2021, Lujiu Finance mentioned in the article "Xiaopeng Year-end Robbery II: Delivery Difficulties" that Xiaopeng Automobile was complained by hundreds of car owners online due to the problem of delivery difficulties.

At that time, in a group of nearly 200 people, car owners were complaining about the problem of Delivery of Xiaopeng Motors. This group of owners probably booked the Xiaopeng P7 480 series and P5 460 series models in October, and the time given by the sales store is expected to be 6-8 weeks. But after 8 weeks, the car was delayed, and the sales were not informed in advance, and until a week before the latest delivery date, they promised "no problem" on the phone.

It wasn't until week 8, when pressed by the owner, that the sales said the fact that the delivery would be late, and the real delivery time, probably in late February 2022, was more than two months later than the expected delivery.

For the owners who were delayed in delivery, Xiaopeng gave three plans: continue to wait for the car to be picked up, reassign other models, or cancel without worry.

Owners don't do it!

After the exchange, Lujiu Finance summarized several appeals of the owners:

● Communication attitude problems, Xiaopeng did not communicate early at the first time to appease the owner's emotions;

● For late delivery, including car owners who can choose to unsubscribe, Xiaopeng has no compensation plan;

● Switch to other models, the choice is too small, equivalent to being forced to upgrade, and there is no preferential treatment as compensation;

● The owner of the re-equipped model needs to re-queue up in the new model team, which is meaningless for the owner who wants to get the car early;

● The owner of the car who was forced to delay the waiting hoped that Xiaopeng Automobile could provide a means of transportation during the delay period, but Xiaopeng refused.

In December 2021, Lujiu Finance contacted the public relations department of Xiaopeng Automobile, and the latter gave an explanation because there was a problem with the supply of upstream battery suppliers, and the owners were told that the reason was "chip problem" in online customer service. Xiaopeng Automobile has an oolong incident to the outside world.

The situation is a little better now

After 3 months, Lujiu Finance visited Xiaopeng Automobile again and found many changes.

On March 8, Lujiu Finance visited the Xiaopeng Automobile Store in Beijing's East Third Ring Road, and In terms of delivery time, Xiaopeng Automobile has already made adjustments. In this store, many models have existing cars, and those without existing cars have a delivery cycle of 7-9 weeks, which is one week later than last year's 6-8 weeks. A slight delay can lower the owner's expectations and avoid possible disputes.

Lu Jiu Finance told Xiaopeng's sales staff that last year they had delayed delivery, and hundreds of car owners complained in the WeChat group. He immediately asked Lu Jiu Finance to tell him about the WeChat group and add him to the group. "We attach great importance to the feedback of the owners, and I entered the group and can report the feedback of the owners to the company."

He told Lu Jiu Finance that Xiaopeng Automobile's batteries use several brands, and upstream supplies, including chips and batteries, may lead to delays in delivery.

Lu Jiu Finance also visited a Fujian car owner, Ms. Hu (pseudonym), who said that the P5 460 she ordered finally got the car, two or three months later than expected.

Ms. Hu did not get the compensation of Xiaopeng Automobile, but she said that maybe someone got it, and this depends on the communication between each person and the sales point. She speculated that the reason for the late delivery of Xiaopeng Automobile at that time was because the price of batteries in the Ningde era increased, and the cost of Xiaopeng Automobile increased.

Ms. Hu said that some of the owners in her group got the car. However, there are still some owners who choose to change the outfit or do not get the car. What makes people cry is that the purpose of choosing to change the match at that time was to get the car early, and the result was later than the one who did not choose to change the match. Some of these car owners are still complaining about their rights protection, hoping to get the car earlier.

Ms. Hu said that the sales of Xiaopeng Automobile seemed to have lost her job because of her complaints, and this sales was very unhappy, and it blocked her and other car owners. "The salesman blacked out the owner of the complaint and solved the problem, but what about the Xiaopeng Automobile official?" She said.

The difficulty of delivering cars has become a common problem in the industry

In fact, there is far more than one or two cases where new cars cannot be delivered on time.

BYD, Tesla, Xiaopeng, Zero Run, Euler, Nezha... The list of manufacturers that have suffered complaints about delayed delivery is almost equivalent to the list of new energy vehicles.

Lujiu Finance saw on the complaint platform that many consumers who purchased new energy vehicles said that they had encountered delays in delivery of cars, and it was very common to wait for more than 3 months.

Among the most exaggerated, some consumers said that they had waited for 229 days, that is, more than seven months, and still had not got the car. "Seven or eight months is definitely a rare situation, but if it is normal, three months." A new energy vehicle brand summarizes this common phenomenon in the industry.

Mr. Yang, a senior industry insider, told Lujiu Finance that many reasons for the difficulty of delivering new energy vehicles are objectively "difficult to overcome". For example, some car companies give the claim that the "chip shortage" and the tight supply of raw materials such as batteries are caused; some car companies say that the production capacity of the whole vehicle is not as fast as the sales speed; more car manufacturers are hoping to reduce production costs by delaying the delivery time.

In any case, it is difficult to deliver the car, and the damage is always the rights and interests of consumers. Mr. Yang said: "Since the delivery of cars is unavoidable, then, at present, the most important thing to change is the pre-sale mechanism of new energy vehicles, which has seriously violated the spirit of commercial contracts. ”
