However, if there is no poet Jia Baoyu, the lack of the horns of the Haitang Society, and the lack of their inscriptions and joint sentences, the culture of "Dream of the Red Chamber" will lack literary and artistic components, lack of talent and elegance.
Readers who like literature and art still feel that the works of the sons and daughters of Jia Fu are still not disclosed enough in the book. If there is a set of "Dai Yu Poems" or "Xiangyun YongJi" or something, this is more thirst-quenching than just seeing "Dai Yu Funeral Flower Words" and "Furong Daughter Recitation" and the like.
It is also a proof that after the eightieth time of the book, only Lin Daiyu burned the manuscript to break the plot of infatuation, and many poets "scattered in the clouds", and there were no songs and poems, and even less singing. Was it that the talents of the sons and daughters of the Grand View Garden were lost in Java? Isn't it true that "the country is unfortunate to be a poet" and "angry poet"? Baoyu, in the face of the love and hatred of their home country, should be able to write more poetry and songs! You say that the sequel lacks talent, which is inferior to Cao Xueqin's talent, just as Liu Xinwu's sequel also has few poems and good sentences. I believe this, but I don't believe it all.
In my foolish opinion, Jia Fu has not had a special literary and art fund, so that the flowers of literature and art have blossomed and withered bleakly. The begonias of art need money to water. Any gathering and literary and artistic activities are inseparable from the support of funds. In this regard, "Dream of the Red Chamber" provides us with vivid footnotes and examples.
The masters in the Grand View Garden seem to be all poets. They always sang and sang harmony with each other at the banquets in the house, it was difficult to solve, it was difficult to divide, it was in harmony, and there was always a lack of discussion, and it was not enough to have fun. Therefore, there was the idea of association, and the Begonia Society came into being.
The initiator of the poetry society was Tanchun. When Jia Zhengdian was out of school, she specially wrote a letter to the second brother Baoyu and proposed in the Grand View Garden:
Far and near... Or the altar of words, or the opening of a poetry club... It has become a good talk for thousands of years.

There are coincidences. It happened that Jia Yun sent someone to the garden to give Baoyu two pots of white begonias, so everyone was born in Yaxing, and they had the name of "Begonia Poetry Society". Li Yi did not invite himself, and when he opened his mouth, he proposed himself to be the head of the altar. Dai Yu knows the rules of poetry the most, and believes that since she is a member of the poetry club, the identity of the sisters and sisters-in-law must be put aside for the time being, and all are called "aliases", so there are elegant titles such as "Xiaoxiang Concubine" and "Daoxiang Old Farmer". Tanchun said that she was the initiator and should be the east. The first society sang white begonias, so the crowd had a batch of poems of wing begonias.
But when it came to the second poetry meeting, the problem came. Who pays the fee? Bao Chao said it thoroughly:
"If you open a society, you will make an east." Although it is a gadget, it is also necessary to look ahead and look backwards, and it is necessary to be cheap and not to offend people, and then everyone is interesting. ”
She asked Shi Xiangyun:
"You can't be the master in your family, you have a few strings of money a month, you are not enough to wrap up, this will do this insignificant thing again." Your aunt hears you and complains more and more about you. Moreover, it is not enough to come out and be the host. ”
Xiang Yun was speechless. Or Bao Chao moved the idea. She thought of her own pawnshop and asked the pawnshop guy to send a few pounds of crabs and a few altars of wine over, which barely made the poetry meeting.
Baochao la sponsorship, can be indispensable. Wine is the soul of poetry, and there will be a feast for the gathering. The banquet is to spend silver, and the literary and artistic society without the support of silver is often difficult to sustain. The poets of the Grand View Garden were also very clever. They thought of Wang Xifeng, the great housekeeper in the palace, and invited her to join the society, and they called her a supervisor.
Xi Feng was such a clever lord that he could see through their tricks at once. She pointed out three or four, taking care of him, one moment saying that this was clearly asking me to be a "copper merchant who entered the money", and the next moment saying that she had no culture, but in the end she could not stand up to the good talk of these naturally bad poets, and agreed to give fifty taels of silver as an activity fund.
It's a raw pull. A literary and artistic society is not a solution after all by pulling sponsorship and slaughtering familiar customers. Sure enough, after the two poetry meetings of Yong Haitang and Yong Ju, the output and quality of the poems in the back have obviously declined, and the activities are irregular, and the three days of fishing and two days of drying nets have been carried out.
Once there was a winter snow poetry meeting, it should be thirteen people, and it was actually eleven people. Lee is the east. Because among the members were Lady Xing's niece Xiuyan, Baochao's cousin Baoqin, Li Feng's nieces Li Wen and Li Qi, and Jia Mu's niece Shi Xiangyun, these foreign relatives, Baochao and others had to collect five or six taels of silver. Holding a poetry meeting with five or six pieces of silver is really stretched. But there is really no way around it.
The sons and girls of the Grand View Garden only have two or three taels of silver per month. Like the enthusiast Xiangling, who is now learning and selling, these rings are even more shy. A poem will get to the point where the dragonfly eats its tail and eats itself, and sooner or later it will break up.
The establishment of the Grand View Garden Poetry Society has a beginning, the dissolution has no end, the beginning is enthusiastic and there is no news. In addition to the absence of fixed funding for activities, there is also a relationship with orthodox ideology.
Jia Baoyu, who was quick-witted, accompanied Jia Zheng and a group of Qingkes when he "tested the question on the right side" in the Grand View Garden, the inscription was so good, but Jia Zheng just couldn't see it. Later, Baoyu's calligraphy, paintings and poems were copied by gunmen in the street, and Jia Zheng was also quite dismissive, believing that poetry was nothing more than:
The wind and clouds have nothing to do with the right thing in life.

It can be seen that Jia Zheng, Madame Wang, and others did not know about the conclusion of the poetry meeting in the Grand View Garden. Wang Xifeng watched these young dolls have a crazy and happy life, and did not support or intervene. Jia Mu and her old people have always "moved their breath and cultivated their bodies", regarding poetry as a beneficial and harmless embellishment, and sometimes they are willing to hear and see it in it, but they only want to be happy for a while and a half.
Jia Mu's hobbies are in watching plays and listening to music, which is well known to everyone. Xi Feng was the roundworm in her belly, and she knew it best. If Jia Mu wanted to support the poetry society, she would ask the government to list a special expenditure on the account. As long as the command is given, can the phoenix head not do it? As long as the "supreme leader" is interested, perhaps Wang Xifeng will volunteer to hang up a title of "consultant" or something. Of course, she will also pull up Jia Mu and put the old lady Jun as the chief of the poetry club's advisers.
This brings us to Jia Mu again, to Jia Mu's drama class.
Jia Mu loves to listen to music and watch dramas, and she has her own unique views on opera theory. This is related to her family background from the Marquis Shifu, and to her accumulated habits in Jia Province for more than sixty years.
She loves to listen to the outside drama class sing, and she loves the professional drama class that she spends money to raise in her own house. Because of the YuanFei's provincial relatives, jia fu specially sent people to buy twelve good pieties in the Jinling and Suzhou-Hangzhou areas, only for the yuan concubines to watch the play once, and then they were raised in the palace and practiced every day. When Jia Mu was interested in herself on the big day, she asked them to perform a few folds of drama.
These favored officials, such as civilian officials, Zhengdan officials, xiaosheng lotus officials, large flower-faced sunflower officials, and so on, all have monthly regular money. Moreover, there is not much work, it is not tiring, and the number of performances is also very limited, so it is inevitable that there will be nothing wrong.
And when this gang of youpi arrived at the fall of Jia Fu, the fate was miserable. The repatriation of the dispatch, the matching of the person, finally disappeared, and a wind blew through.
The disappearance of the Jia Fu opera team is a problem of the system and, even more, a problem of the economy. The good people have no economic status, and their daily performing arts activities are not adequately funded, resulting in their lack of intensive research in business, instead of doing their right work, evil thoughts breed, and they do things that are inappropriate and social etiquette, which eventually leads to their loss.
And as a comment in the world, it is often: it is better to raise a thousand armies than to raise good pity. But who knows, the groups and legal persons responsible for them, do you really "raise" them and really provide them with financial support?
The demise of the Jia Fu Poetry Society's groups and performance institutions is closely related to the economic system and economic decline of the Jia Fu. Saying that "Dream of the Red Chamber" is a tragedy is also one of the ones that cannot be ignored.
